So there has been a few niggling bits regarding the HU and centre console that I decided to sort this weekend. So with a few mates over we got to work.
In no time atall we had the centre console out
So the first fix was to sort the low volume issues. Busters RCA mod worked a treat
And Jak working his magic with his soldering iron
Once this was all confirmed to be working as brilliantly as we hoped, moved on to the other niggle. The wrap. There was a few places that were suffering adhesion issues so opted for paint. Went over to Halfrauds to get some gunmetal grey made up, got home excited to get some colour on the primered plastics, only to find the nozzle was unsprayable. It was literally impossible to spray without it spluttering. So back down to halfords for an exchange to another nice looking grey.
All painted and very happy with the new colour, apart from the cubby. For prep work from a previous coat of paint meant this has came out a bit 'funny' Only myself to blame, but we pressed on for now.
So back in it all went. Thanks to Jak and Steve for their help over this weekend!
To diffuse the dodgey paint on the cubby I quickly made up a 'Rising Sun' sticker, actually like it more than I thought I would. All In all a happy bunny, and love my HU even more now!
Thats all for now
