  1. Thanks mate, really nice to hear, means a lot
  2. aha thanks as always the camera never does it justice though!
  3. Sounds good mate, and that does sound very reasonably priced indeed! gonna look really smart! Had a rolling road day on sunday, more motivated for the performance side of things even more now aha! I rolled: 275.6 hp@5927rpm 263.6 ib.ft@4564rpm Which i thought was quit good considering its 10 years old and basically standard good starting place for more power i think Video I made of the group of us that went: (I'm at 3 minutes 54)
  4. aha cheers, gradually my efforts are turning towards the engine bay now. Me and a few mates are going on a rolling road day on sunday (so keep an eye out for the video ) But I dare say this will encourage my efforts further haha Shame my hoses didnt turn up slightly earlier and I would of asked Sly to fit them whilst he was on the car, always the way though!
  5. Sorry if its been covered before but are Carbon buldge un-vented bonnets available from you atall Tarmac?
  6. So a few little things were purchased recently, along with a service.. Nismo radiator cap Nismo Oil filler cap (fitted with the radiator cap) Apexi Panel Filter Then a trip upto Kaizer Motor Company for my P1 service along with a gearbox and Diff oil change Great service received as usual! I couldnt recommend Sly highly enough! Top bloke! Up on the ramps (just) bumper and steps scrape a little getting on, but we got there And got home to find my other purchase arrived HoseTechnik Braided brake lines
  7. Thanks mate Dont worry the Nismo stickers will be staying away. Point well raised about the resale value though, couldn't be more true
  8. Literally just got back from a bodyshop after asking if they would repair it, unfortunalty not, if I could find someone that is willing to repair it for a decent enough price I could be very interested in this!
  9. As above use Hexis and dont forget to post heat, might be worth investing in one of them infra red thermometers, i think I paid like £10 for mine..
  10. Patience, another pair of hands, and being aware what the vinyl can do...
  11. cheers mate, to be fair the pics are in my favour, but im really pleased
  12. Right little update, tried my hand at a bit of Carbon Skinning over the last few days. It took a little longer than expected and I learnt a lot from it. Overall though im happy with the results So I thought id try my B pillars, as the carbon wrap was put to shame against the real carbon fiber mirror covers. Step one was to get the wrap off and rub them down. Then to apply the basecoat in which the carbon will adhere to Then I layed the carbon over once the basecoat was tacky Both pieces wrapped and awaiting their resin. After a few layers of resin, it was time to rub them down. After getting to work with the sandpaper it appeared I had rubbed it down way too much, and it was at the point where I was just left with a matt grey finish, no weave or anything. Panicking that I had rubbed into the carbon, I reapplied some more resin, which bought it back to normal. So i was on the right tracks after all! So once this had dried again, I rubbed it down again. Here you can see how it goes: Yet apply a bit of lacquer/resin or even just water, and the weave returns.. Now admittedly at this stage through fear I did cut the rubbing down a bit short, but after some laquering I simply wasnt happy with the finish, so i went back and rubbed it down thoroughly and properly, working through the grits. Then with a can of lacquer and some coats later we have this And fitted Only real problem i have is if you look closely parts it appears to have small holes in the resin, im 99% sure this is where the weave has separated slightly, allowing it to fall through a bit. A way to overcome this would be to order the 'Pro Finish' kit. Which comes with a thin layer of resin already in the weave, which helps hold it together in the application (as it does separate very easily) Apart from that im quite chuffed with the results Now im not sure whether to add a small nismo sticker to each one?
  13. Welcome mate, just up the road from me!
  14. I thought doing so will give me an error code.. My mistake. I shall look at getting one now
  15. Thanks mate. Just did the pedal dance, worked first time! Very quick easy procedure although I didn't count the flashes, it seems a continuous blink is part of the procedure, so although off, I don't know what threw the error in the first place :s
  16. Hi guys, so after having an awesome weekend out enjoying the zed, on the way home driving from a mates house I noticed the EML came on, a consistant light, not flashing. The car is running perfectly, and all guages point to where they should, idle is smooth et.c. This puts me at ease a little. I'm assuming an air sensor or something must of just jumped out of its laden tree for some reason to throw the light on. I'm assuming I should peddle dance to clear it, but first I would like to see what threw the error to start with. I'm wondering the best way to go about this? Pop to a garage? Get myself a reader (although I want it now) Thanks for any advice
  17. Honestly wasnt posing for the pic, just trying to get into my Twix
  18. Alright guys, as above, loosely looking for a carbon bonnet if anyone knows of any? I'm sure I saws FS thread where someone was putting there zed back to standard and there was one up for grabs? Hope I wasn't dreaming? Aside from a carbon bonnet (unvented, really like carbon buldge) I'm also after carbon battery and fluid covers, cooling panel (full length) an engine cover, and carbon door sills. Quite a list I know, but bit as when they pop up Thanks a lot
  19. I wouldn't say mine changes tone like that mate... Strange one!
  20. Ah no I totally agree, tbh I see it as a good excuse to get guages, I would love some a pillar guages regardless aha Just wondering if there are any other parts like that, but not included in the kit that you would ideally need to safely run such a setup..?
  21. Aha so we'll add the guages to the list lol also by the ad need a sump pan also? Would this be all. Might have a ring round a few places today..
  22. Just something about having 2 turbos under the bonnet though... the additional work required to get it in concerns me a little though, would anything else need to be purchased to get going? some guages I presume?
  23. I actually know the guy selling this and he say: Spacing the rack 5mm and a smaller steering coupler solves the problem. Thomas as Zurawski Motorsport has fitted a few and the quote for fitting was from him. Anyone wanting it fitted, speak to him. 07597 722472 Is his work mobile. Tempted myself ............. O really, so is that fitting price including this rack spacing etc? Sounds very reasonable..
  24. WANT! He says in the description £800 fitting which was a pleasent surprise... Sucks about the whole not fitting thing though, that's a bit of a bummer aha
  25. Thanks guys yeah I like the sticker more than I thought! May make a slightly better one down the line
