  1. to remove the guage pods just use a soldering iron to 'cut' through the plastic welded bits.
  2. 99% sure that will be your wheel bearing mate. I had the same symptoms on mine recently and that was the case. Assuming it's a front one, jack up the car and spin each wheel by hand. It should be pretty obvious which side it is as it should feel rougher when turning. Cougar store will sort you out a replacement bearing. It comes as a unit so it's very easy to swap out on your drive. Bolt of bolt on job.
  3. well carbon is the original form of porn right? look forward to seeing these fitted
  4. oooo very nice man, Certainly some nice packages to be receiving
  5. Hoping between us we can get something sorted. Hes a good fabricator so fingers crossed. Going to be tight though!
  6. Gonna attempt to get them in saturday. Im off to my mates workshop then where he has a welder etc to hand Currently have my leathers fitted atm buddy
  7. No real update atm. My light is all good since I put it back together so thats a relief... The other light is suffering a little bit however, though no where near as bad, im thinking ill still give it the same treatment after the others recent success On Another note, car went for its MOT today, second year running it passed with no advisories so thats a nice thought
  8. Thanks, same! May try and get hold of some manual 350z seat rails again to play about with.. And I got it back together mate, pumped a lot of new gunk in beforehand as there didnt look like much left. Literally left drying indoors since. I would mind putting on a few more tactical blobs in places, but thats just to be anally sure really... aha I will put it all back together Saturday hopefully
  9. Its a real shame indeed. Feel more gutted as time goes lol So yesterday tried the drivers side. The offending 'step' in the floor pan didn't make it quite as bad as suspected. May still go and give it a go possibly next weekend at getting them properly in. Though my only fear is i may need to much around with the bottom of the seat, only of it not to work and then id of affected the saleability of them is all.... But anyway I got a few more pictures of it in the other side. I feel they really make the OEM Z look plain...
  10. I know really is man. Feel so good to sit in, very comfy I found and sporty! These particular ones are out of a corsa VXR would you believe, Many cars run the Recaro CS frame. From the corsa vxr, to the focus RS, lotus evora, land rover, to the new nismo 370 etc! Test fitted the passenger side, and it would of fit.... just. Though the drivers side floor however has like a shelf near the tunnel. This is where issues were caused... :/
  11. Good news and bad news. Good news, I bought these.... Look the part too....sorry about the dodgey pic Bad news drivers side does not fit.....:/ aha Which sucks as I love the seats! Soooo back up for sale, with revised tactics

  15. Thanks man. Was about an hour solid of heating and pulling, but was better than I thought but not in a hurry to do it again Thanks mate. And they are already painted black inside! that's how it happened, from not being properly sealed from last time lol
  16. So the condensating light saga continues, killing another bulb So off came the headlight, and back in for drying out. After a day in the airing cupboard, I thought I got most of it out, until a huge puddle emerged on my lap. Surprised that there was more water in there, let alone that much, I continued drying it out. Putting it to bed with this little (self proclaimed) stroke of genius inside it. A long screwdriver wrapped with the silicone 'do not eat' pouches However when it came to adding more sealant around the edge, I noticed the current mastic was very wet and tacky. I concluded it needed to be split and re sealed. I was reluctant about this but a fellow member offered me some advice and convinced me to have a go (cheers ZEUS) So shortly after I am left with this. This will be how they remains until I get some more special gunk to re seal Only this a slight casualty occurred in the form of a small crack at the top... Hopefully this will be ok, I may either try to fuse it with a soldering iron, or put some putty or sealant on it, not sure yet? Thats all for the time being, hopefully a few more new mods soon...
  17. Good work mate! Like the amount of detail too looking sooo much better for the spacers aswell man!
  18. Thanks man . Ill leave the two sections as they are for the time being untill I source some additional sealant. Iv had some 3m stuff recommended to me.. Any where you guys know where I could pick some up over the weekend?
  19. Right just a little update, LIGHT IS SPLIT bit of swearing but wasnt too bad. There were a few casualties, admittedly I think they were haste produced, as I was on the home stretch so to speak haha Headlights split The back bit of the housing, right near the screw, i made a crack... hopefully should be alright? (i know you cant see much, dodgy iphone pic, sorry...) thanks for the guidance guys
  20. Cheers Zeus, gonna go have a go shortly And good shout BulletMagnet, will do
  21. Aha ok mate you have convinced me then in that case May start tonight! For the re sealing I have been recommended Windscreen sealant which I am yet to require. Once split and dry, will it be ok to come back a few days later, re heat whatever mastic remains, apply more of the newly acquired gunk and then put back together right?
  22. haha really Well the unit is currently in the airing cupboard. I have had it off all week, I tried puting more sealant on it, but it was adhearing. Then I found the current sealant is all wet and tacky. It needs to be opened to dry im certain, im just wanting to avoid splitting them again myself. I fear I will relive your experience Just doing my head in now, killed 2 bulbs already haha
