  1. Gorgous little summer car to scoot out in with a picnic basket and some champers in tow, pip-pip what? *In my imagination - Vrooom.........squeek, double de-clutch,whine.... grind......"Excuse good fellow, do you know the way to the garden party?....." *
  2. Thanks for your help so far chubbsta!
  3. Have you seen snow it's parked on Your point being? Saw the thread title, wondered what is this? Saw first post thought ok., might be good. Saw picture. Ended up disappointed. Just cos there's snow doesn't mean a 4x4 is needed. Jesus that's a bit negative. Just because you own a 350z and drive it on the streets doesnt mean you need all the modifications to make it go faster! If I lived in an area that was a foot deep in snow all the time I would choose a 4x4 too...
  4. It is very strange, as they are definitely the correct size belts! I will see of anyone else has had this problem, then maybe ask Alex or Mark for some advice!
  5. A bit far fetched when you think that not everyone services there cars at the exact same mileage. A car at 60k mile may still have had parts replaced or serviced that another hasnt at 80k... Also, I wouldn't say that all modern cars will last longer or handle the miles any better, it is still down to how it is serviced and built. Imho.
  6. Haha, well I am not fussed massively about the noise but it is annoying I just didnt know what the other consequences of not having them tensioned up correctly might be... Dont want them to break or slip off!
  7. Sorry it is a DE buddy. Not asked Alex yet, didn't want to hassle him just yet! You could be right though, but it is not like the belt is that loose. But maybe...
  8. My mates E36 M3 is at 150,000 miles - Dyno results last week were 326BHP running faultlessly - And still outruns my 350Z with 50k on it! Mileage means nothing if it has been serviced well! Now I know I am comparing BMW to Nissan, but take for example the E30 325i that was on a rolling road for 4 years that clocked 1 million miles and serviced with Mobil1 products. The parts that they removed from the lump were good enough to go back on the shelf.
  9. Guys/girls, A few of you may know that on the weekend as I was driving to a hotel for the night by drive belt snapped, actually both of them failed and I was stranded on the motorway! Anyway, I ordered the new belts from Zmanalex and with a bit of advice from Mark at abbey motorsport I fitted the belts yesterday! I now have a few side effects that I am trying to sort out. 1. The belts are the correct size specified by Alex, Nissan, Mark... But I can not get enough tension on them, the tensioner is maxed right out but they are not tight enough. Any thoughts? As I was thinking of down-sizing the belt slightly! The belts squeel like a pig when started up! 2. The power steering felt a little weird at first, I guess this is due to the power steering pump needing a litte use after the belt snapped but now when the front wheels hit a bump in the road I get a very violent shake of the steering wheel which never happened before! Not too sure what to do about either of these issues hence why I am asking you knowledgable people! Thanks in advance for any help.
  10. Something tells me that BBK just wants to put his camera to use more than anything...
  11. Sorry, I will probably post stuff like this for Keyser every time I see something... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scalextric-Nissan-350Z-Green-/260858310767?pt=UK_Toys_Games_Scalextrics_Slot_Cars_ET&hash=item3cbc5df06f ...green.
  12. Lucky son of a b!tch... I figured that it would be the long winded name for Mines... Jealous! Thats a spec 1 Titan backbox then!
  13. Yea sorry! I have been reading that some of the manufacturers names are the long winded abbreviation of some well known tuning manufacturers! I cant find **** all yet on Mainzuueibu though.
  14. Haha yep, and thats a 'Trust inc' Echaust you pictured (Expert now) Lol... I never heard of JASMA before!
  15. Yea good idea! It looked like EASSA or EASZA :S JASMA makes sense though I guess as this is the stamp the japs use to pass certain tests, like an E certificate! The 038 represents Mainzuueibu Inc. The association was formed to keep the Japanese governement from driving tuning companies out of business. By coming together they were able to get governement sactioning for their exhaust products. Meaning during the shaken (Japanese inspection) the car won't be faulted for having an unauthorized part. They also ensure production quality, train/certify exhaust personel, and stop false claims in advertising. Not all exhaust systems are JASMA stamped meaning they are usually circuit systems, however certain circuit systems are JASMA certified.
  16. Yea I was thinking that, especially in that state! Lol! I bet it looks smart polished up, never had the experience in polishing titanium though. The other way to work out if its titanium is to take it off and pick it up... Titanium is VERY lightweight!
  17. Yep exactly, but what I have found though is that like most modifications you will need to, modify it to fit! My carbon lip wasn't cheap and it did not fit without modification. Same can be said for wings, bonnets, boots etc.
  18. Jesus dude try ceaning it up and you'll be able to read it! Haha! I have tried working with it in photoshop to see if I can define what it says but I cant read it!
  19. Lol, I cant believe all the hassle and forum posts over a little rasp noise! Drive the car a bit harder and you wont hear it! Any idea what you are replacing these with?
  20. Ever fitted carbon aftermarket body parts? 99% of the time it won't sit flush.
  21. I did a repair like this on my E36. If you have the time a skill to rub it down and treat it, spray it then you can do it. Personally I would hand it to a good bodyshop for the cost wouldn't be much and it will probably be a better job
  22. Option 1 may cause a headache when it comes to geometry if you drop it 30mm all round. I am going to be lowering mine on coilovers this week, had to get adjustable camber arms etc to make sure I get the correct geo settings though! As you lower the vehicle, spacers, etc you are bound to put the toe and camber out... But depends how much, you might be absolutely fine!
  23. Any idea where this originally came from? This is like a Zed Ive seen around Wickham area!
