Very light rub with 600grit wet then a cotton cloth with cutting compound. Moved to 1400grit wet and used cutting compound with the 1400grit together. And lastly a fine polishing paste on cloth until my arm ached. Let polish haze and dry then buff with a clean cloth.

Had a go at a little project on my son's friends Honda civic type S. the plastic headlight lens were misted and oxidised quite badly. I'm rather pleased with the result.
