  1. I think it's more than just a radio code tbh, I think the stereo has to be actually paired to the car somehow
  2. I'm the same, 1st to 2nd improves when the car is warm though.
  3. Yep i believe they do, http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/70107-my-seats-have-arrived-yay/ Jon
  4. There is a good guide for fixing the left speaker issue on here. I wouldn't want the stereo back even if you did manage to fix it. I just thought it would be good for someone to practice pulling apart so they would be more confident pulling theres apart for repairs/ipod hack. Im near Southampton, Hampshire, SO50 post code
  5. Just thought i'd post here first before i bin the following. Standard Bose Stereo from '54 plate car - unfortunately with left speaker cut out issue and CD skipping issue - Free to anyone who may want to practice repairing it before attempting their own, can also deliver locally if required (Southampton area) Standard bluetooth cradle from '54 plate car - no bluetooth cartridge im afraid. May or may not work (i've never had the cartridge to test it) - Free to anyone who may want to replace their own that may be broken, i don't mind posting this either. One mans junk is another mans treasure an all that. I hope the ad is ok without pictures with my username as they are freebies, i can add these when im home later Jon
  6. Aghh i forgot about claying!! i have a brand new Megs Clay bar kit in my shed from last christmas i can try. All treatment will be by hand so hopefully won't damage the wheels finish then? Jon
  7. Any tips on the best way/products to remove what i presume is overspray from my Powdercoated alloys? I've just had the bumper, bonnet, wings resprayed on my car to remove the stone chips and on inspection of my rear wheels i can now feel a rough finish where the wheels were perfectly smooth before (they were powdercoated in November 2012) I haven't spoken to the bodyshop asking them to sort this yet but to be honest if it is easy enough to do i'd rather sort it myself so i know its done properly without risk of damaging the finish on the wheels. I've googled already for advise and have read of people using polish such as AG SRP and T-Cut, also some people have used thinners to sort it (which scares me a little, lol)?? The wheels will be coming off sometime this weekend to fit spacers which will make the clean up easier i guess. All opinions welcomed Thanks, Jon
  8. Congratulations on your purchase, I bought my Z from the same place as you by he looks of things. Enjoy your new car Jon
  9. Many are of the opinion that if these engines are serviced well they will last. I've read quite a few posts recently similar to this and it seems there a quite a few members in America whose engines are on or around 200,000, I think a couple of users on this forum are on 120,000 ish. Just look through the history thoroughly for regular services with quality parts. Perhaps consider the resale though as, like yourself, people are dubious about high mileage cars.
  10. I think i like them, certainly different. Jon
  11. Hyundai Accent, to this day i've never seen one that hasn't had the front end smashed in. Also Micra's of all ages, they are always driven by people who insist on driving as slow as the car allows without stalling
  12. I'm after one for my '54 plate pre facelift too if it helps gather interest. IIRC I thought the trader on here doing them was doing them to order so maybe drop him a PM. Jon
  13. Do you have different brand tyres on each wheel? Are you running stock wheels with the correct tyre sizes? Front - 225/45/18 Rear - 245/45/18 If not these things are known to cause issues with the traction control. Jon
  14. Yeah there is a photobucket app, or www.photobucket.com Jon
  15. Some people choose to remove them as a styling preference, more so on Jap imports as they came with a square plate and people remove it to fit a uk plate.
  16. such a bargain, had i not bought a head unit and wiring from another user last week (a non DVD screen for the same money!) i would have snapped this up.
  17. Make sure you double check the underwriting carefully, you don't want to base your decision based on price if the cheaper policy offers worse underwriting and you find previous medical conditions are excluded. I have some knowledge on Aviva's products but don't know much about their pricing. Jon
  18. Not all modified to my taste but a nice set of cars. I'd still love to own a T-bar Mr2 congratz on the new Z
  19. I'm guessing Busters username has been left on the group buy as the OP still wants it for a spare.
