  1. Saw this car today and it looked great, and very clean! I'm considering a 350Z as next car, although recently been swaying towards a 3.0 Z4, but seeing your car has given me second thoughts and I'm looking at zeds again. Looked like it had spacers, whats the setup you have and also is it lowered? Is running spacers at 20mm fromt and 25mm rear. Apart from that suspension is standard. Thanks for your kind comments! David Was a lovely motor..... Hubcentric I assume? Yes - Eibachs.

  3. Great morning out - saw quite a few Zeds and no doubt some of them were from here - but didn't see anyone lurking near them to go and say hello. Pic of mine on grid -taken from top of pits. David
  4. 1 : gsexr 2 : GazS14 3 : benjy88 4 : buster and mrs buster 5: Tinyflier - David (pass for display on grid or in paddock)
  5. Miltek on its own is way too quiet. But with Berks HFCs it is a great combination. Quiet on cruise/motorway but purposeful on acceleration and a lovely sound on idle. David
  6. This weekend the plan was to machine polish the paint but ... too cold... so... I gave the engine bay a good clean (still bits of it I am not happy with but I'll deal with that when we get something other than arctic weather. (I think I need some polished/coloured bolts...!) Also fitted my carbon cooling plate (from RT-Performance) and carbon engine cover (from Tarmac Sportz) and most importantly acknowledgement to Abbey Motorsport (sticker from RT Biscuit) for their ongoing good works on the Zed. David
  7. Of my long list done and long list still planned my fav mod is my Nismo exhaust & Berks HFCs. David
  8. Splendid job Louisa - I have been thinking of doing same and this has made up my mind to do it and match my black Zunsport Grille. All I managed to do today was spend a few hours cleaning up my engine bay - mainly around the suspension turrets and strut brace feet. Tomorrow/Sunday is clay time - if it was warmer I'd machine polish and properly detail the paintwork - that will have to wait for double digit temperatures. David
  9. +1 for 303. Which reminds me, I need some more. 303 Aerospace - top treatment for plastics in engine bay or outside. Daviid
  10. Some interesting mods planned Louisa- looking forward to copying some of them - I was thinking of the Stillen front lip but I am not keen on the supporting rods (or turnbuckles as our colonial cousins over the pond refer to them). I asked Stillen if they were optional and was given a categorical NO - they are mandatory for the overall structural integrity of the lip. David
  11. I am going, have blagged a pass to be on start grid lineup or in paddock display area! 1. Ben Read (benjy88) 2. Gsexr 3. Tinyflier (David)
  12. How about "POLITE"... Not allowed the word police. How about the word "POLITE"... David.
  13. Ian made one of these for me and I can vouch for the high quality of his workmanship. It is very well finished at LEAST to the standard you would expect of OEM. In the 4 months or so that I have had it the only time it has slipped out of position is when I have pushed something against it by mistake when loading the boot. In my view it actually makes the larger boot area much more usable by properly dividing it into two separated compartments. David
  14. Collected my car from The Wheel Specialist in East Grinstead yesterday - all wheels stripped, "un-kerbed", powder coated and lacquered. They also fitted 20f/25r spacers (supplied VERY quickly by Cougar Store - Excellent delivery Mitz thank you). Can't recommend Wheel Specialist highly enough. Great range of finishes/options, superb customer service and they straightened out a "flat" in my wheel rim without problem. So here is wheel before: Wheel after - fiinish has a lovely metallic sparkle and depth which doesn't really show in today's crappy weather, also had flush fit valves fitted. Here it is "spacered" Another couple of items on my mods list ticked off! David

  16. Blimey £35 a can.... that seller is having a larf! I have a can that I reckon is 80% full (or 20% empty if you prefer) - I used it to spray my rear strut cover (as you can see on the pic on left!). I think it should be enough to spray lower bumper lip (am planning on doing this myself but not straight away). Have sent you a PM. David
  17. I hope to be checking that out soon ahhhh - it won't be machine polished until Easter (weather permitting....!) but I did give it a clay, coat of WetGlaze and Tough Coat in September so you can get an idea of the longevity of the products! Cheers Graham - one day the stars may align...! David
  18. 1.Tinyflier 2. 3. 4. 5. etc...] I'm in!
  19. I use Menzerna to machine polish, micro fibre to lift any remaining residue, although it should all have broken down during the polishing process then Wet Glaze 2.0 and finish with Auto Finesse Tough Coat. No waxes used. David
  20. I'd be happy to go down the "skin" route if somone offered it on a "parts exchange" basis rather than strip my interior and do without until my parts have been processed. David
  21. I'd be in for one for my manual '06 when available. David
  22. Ummmm ... Doesn't the headlight cleaner switch activate or deactivate this function? I thought turning that ON would a) give you an instant wash AND link the headlight cleaner to the windscreen washer. Turning it OFF i thought disables headlight cleaning completely. Or are you telling me the headlight cleaner is constantly active? David. There's a switch?? Where? That may explain why mine have stopped....... On the panel in front of your knees just above the fuel flap release. David

  24. 20/25 seems to be the generally used sizing with standard Rays/suspension - am fitting some on mine next week as part of wheel refurb. David
  25. I'll have to pull out for now - on looking more closely, this lip appears to sit over the lower part of the bumper exactly where my Zunsport Grille sits which I suspect makes it an "either/or" scenario. David Amended list below; Note that this gb is for frp. carbon is yet to be confirmed. 1. Downhuman facelift/carbon 2. Arran prefacelift/carbon 3. sx Dave prefacelift/carbon 4. tony.r123 prefacelift/carbon 5. Hennerz facelift/FRP 6. Kyler facelift/Carbon 7. Kyte350 facelift/???? 8. SteveM should I put you down for one?
