  1. I think it is behind the knee/crash pad under the steering column? David
  2. May be totally wrong here! Have you checked that the internal cabin temperature sensor is connected? I think (but am not 100% certain) this is behind the driver's side knee/crash pad. When I first collected my Zed, my AirCon dpumped out hot air too and Abbey traced it to the internal sensor having come unplugged - possibly when previous owner had removed his internal satnav unit. Reconnected and all was well. David
  3. I love Korea! David Which half? lol - South! Closest I came to the North was a coupe of trips to the DMZ and a tour of one of the North to South infiltration tunnels. David
  4. Both parts are nicely moulded. The weave patterns run true and the clear coat is blemish free. The gear surround is quite thin ( but I suppose if it was a thick moulding it wouldn't fit well). The cluster cowl is quite substantial. I will buy from them again. Their delivery is quick, well packaged BUT in both instances I have been caught for import tax! That isn't any fault of Evo-R, maybe that is the norm for packages from Taiwan. David
  5. What's wrong with a Smart?! I had one for a long time and it was an absolute hoot. Was a great car to mod (bigger turbo, 6 pot Tarox brakes, chunky alloys, paddle shift, uprated suspension, custom exhaust, carbon parts, paint job and the list could go on! Fast as a zed? Clearly not, my other car was an AMG C43 if I wanted speed, but I often chose to use my Smart over my AMG! The point was you could drive it max beans and enjoy it without continually scanning for the boys in blue! There was a really strong club scene (loads of us spent silly money on mods). Of course it had it's faults (standard suspension and shift could make it pitch, without a good size alloy it under-steered like mad, etc etc. Twice took mine on a long weekend trip down through France and it never missed a beat - and yes I could (just!) get over 100 (on a de-restricted road of course!). David
  6. Have had mine since about same time as this thread started. Been used every day and it is as sturdy now as the day I got it. David
  7. A couple of carbon interior parts fitted today. They are both from EVO-R.net (I did also buy an instrument top cover from RSW in Japan but as the weave didn't match the gear surround, I bought another one from EVO-R (will probably put the RSW part - which is stunning) up for sale at some point. I also had ZSpeed aluminium undertray fitted by Abbey at last week's service, but I don't have any pictures of that!
  8. Would def buy a NISMO sticker for the rectangular portion of the fob! David
  9. I use WetGlaze 2.0 sealant - my recent posting which is a few threads down from here "my-gunmetal-detailed" has pictures. I don't use wax - just a sealant and usually Auto Finesse Tough Coat on top - except I had run out of Tough Coat so what you see is after machine polishing and applying sealant. David
  10. Throw away the chamois leather!!! Only ever dry your car with microfibres cloths OR even better get yourself a "Wooly Mammoth" towel. The Wooly Mammoth is a huge wooly (!) towel, if your car is well sealed (or waxed) the water will have beaded and the Mammoth simply soaks up the water simply by laying it on, no need to wipe. David
  11. There is a thread in here about this topic. It really isn't that difficult, you can buy a flip key case and blank blade off eBay, transfer the circuit board and transponder chip, get the blank blade cut to match your key and job done. Took me a couple of hours, including getting the blade cut, the hardest bit was getting the spring loaded key back into the shell. A few folks reported having trouble getting the blade cut accurately but it worked first time for me, visit a really good locksmith and you should be OK. David
  12. Is OK, give something to your favourite charity instead. Best of everything for the future. David
  13. I bought a CF gear shift surround from them through their e-bay listing and it arrived within their stated delivery time. Sorry you had a different buying experience. David
  14. Good work and top marks for originality. David
  15. Good point, I used the Dinoc for first few b***sed up attempts but then the 4D for the door handle embellisher - I might retry. Cheers. PS your grill looks good!
  16. Good wrapping! I have tried several times to wrap the silver parts on my steering wheel and made a real pig's ear of it every time... I did manage to wrap the silver part on passenger door handle though (but I could remove that and it isn't exactly a complex shaped part!) David
  17. Thank you! Tyres dressed with Swissvax Pneu http://www.swissvax.co.uk/product_detail/wheel_and_tyre_products/pneu_250ml Davud
  18. Honestly - it really is straightforward and def easier than applying products by hand! I was a bit concerned when I first tried it but you have to work really REALLY hard to get it wrong with a DA. The elliptical orbit prevents you generating too much heat in a single spot (as you might with a straightforward rotary). Is a good idea to tape around edges and items such as wing repeater indicators and chose the right polishing compound. Have a good read on Detailing World for all the info. David
  19. Gave my '06 a detailing today. Washed, clayed, washed, Dual Action rotary machined with Menzerna, IPA wipe-down and finished off with WetGlaze 2.0. Tyres dressed with SwissVax Pneu. Wheels cleaned with Billberry juice washed and microfibred dry (all the way through to the inner edge too -inside rims are as clean as outside - luckily I can get my hand through the spokes!). Engine bay light clean with engine degreaser, hosed off and treated with Aerospace 303. A few after pics (battery on camera ran out so limited number). Yes I know I need to do my exhaust tips - my own battery had run out of energy by then (well I am quite "mature" at 59!). Am quite pleased with results, hope you all like it too. David.
  20. Yes, they are nice! If you do come up with something similar I would be interested in sharing costs. David

    Fuel caps

WOW! I am not against shelling out money on my cars (sometimes on things I never actually end up using) but even I would baulk at £170+ for a sticker...! David

    Wheel refurb

They have an on line quote generator BUT they may undercut that price when you contact them. David
