Can't say I noticed any difference in the tightness of the fitting between removing the OEM and fitting my CF strut bar.

So why don't any of the after market strut bars have any form of adjustment?

Take a photocopy of the rear of the canards and that gives you a perfect template of where the bolt holes are.
Place copy up against bumper, tape it securely and drill carefully!

Really like the carbon fibre ~ very cool.
Surprised though that you covered the aluminium kick plates with these as it might have been more sensible to swap with someone for the standard kick plates plus some cash your way. Either way though as long as you're happy.
The CF plates replaced the aluminium OEM units, which are now in a box ready for me to sell on!

Just fitted carbon fibre sill plates as supplied by TarmacSportz - delicious weave on them - pictures don't do them justice.
David.
Before - aluminium trimmed plates.
After - pure carbon fibre loveliness...

I never undid the tension nuts on my strut bar when I took it off to replace it - just undid the bolts/nuts on the mounting plates.

oooo now that is appealing... am planning on couple of weeks meandering around the West coast mid Sep and a little trip to Vegas to take in the NASCAR experience now looks very tempting.

I used AF Tough Coat and found it gave a superb finish, applied it after machine polishing and NO wax.
I've now moved on to use Fuso Soft 99 which may be a hybrid between a sealant and a soft wax. Pleased with the finish and ease of application.

Next for me will be an R35... it is the "when" that is the hard question to answer. (Oh OK I might "stopgap" sooner with a 370Z)

Abbey spotted that I had two leaking spark plug tubes (one in each cam cover) last year and I was readying myself to have to replace both covers.
They in fact fitted two repaired covers (after I had had them carbon dipped - see my build thread - shameless show off that I am!) and took my old ones back in to stock to carry out the same repair.
I don't know what they did but I assume it was a permanent fix and all I had to pay for was the labour to remove, rectify and refit.

Do you mean an integrated unit or something you can remove?
I have a TomTom Start25 that, with a little bit of surgery to the cubby floor fits. You can see it on my build thread here ...
http://www.350z-uk.c...re-strut-brace/
The cubby lid is still fully functional and this particular TomTom model has a "start up when power on" feature (not all of them do) so when I turn on the ignition, the unit powers up automatically and powers down when I turn the ingition off.

I recall some time ago being told, I think by Sly at Kaizer Motors, that a 'box rebuild would be between £600 and £900 depending on what parts needed to be replaced.

There is a carbon fibre strut brace in the For Sale section.

Was given two free tickets for the Thursday moving motor show day today, which I've never been to. Beats a day in the office!

On my setup (carried out by Abbey) to a DE Revup engine the throttle response can be adjusted by use of the steering wheel controls from standard (sluggish) to pin sharp (breath in and it responds instantly).
Could yours be defaulting to the standard setting?

Add me to the list please Mark.

Dynaplug make a handy tool that gives a permanent repair for just such circumstances.
Some of the guys on the GTR owners club speak highly of them and on their cars the tyres are under some duress!
