  1. Hey There is a Lincoln JDM meet tonight if you are interested, 7.30pm at the Woodcocks (Burton Waters), not sure how many zed's go but i'll be there with mine!
  2. Yeah, the coast guard have called if off through the dark :-( I have just had to ring the partner of a guy offshore and reassure her that he will be ok on an S92, its hard not to wonder why all of this is going on, and it maybe not related but last month we had to go back to flying on Super Puma L2's because 'our S92 mechanic was off sick'.... one mechanic for our S92 in CHC... Makes you wonder about staffing levels and helicopter maintenance (this is my opinion only, nothing to do with anything else)
  3. I fly on the Sikorsky S92's, but in all honesty, no helicopter is indestructible, and it devastates me when i hear the things that have gone wrong No rotating bit of equipment is free from issues, its a risk we all take, but it really does bring it close to home when something does go disastrously wrong
  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-23821083 I've been following the news for a few hours, any tigers will be distraught over the news, a Super Puma L2 has ditched (not the 225 that has ditched previous) and 15 people have been rescued safe, 3 missing. My heart goes out to all those missing, their families and friends, and i hope that they get found soon, a devastating piece of news that i know wil touch the hearts of many
  5. Very nice!! I have 'liked' the TC media page on facebook a while back, what would be the chances of getting them to Wales in May next year to film/photograph some of the beasts we have?
  6. Yeah i'm thinking for the cost of a new battery, i'm as well just changing it for a decent one, i do a fair bit of driving and getting stuck is not an option! Don't do patience! Also i'm a drama queen when things go wrong, i had images of the car blowing up and my milk and bread going off!! Its too stressful
  7. yeah thats tomorrows job now, tonight i am having a wine and ignoring the car, it can sit outside and think about what its done!! Will keep you updated when i get a proper look at it in daylight
  8. I've never changed the battery, but its not an original, its a halfords one. I've had the car almost a year... At idle i get 14v on the meter. Apparently i should clean up and grease/wd40 the battery connections to see if that helps, but yeah consensus is battery so far speaking to a few people!
  9. Also forgot to say, had no warning lights at all come up before/during/after all of this. Cheers
  10. So, just driven 150 miles from Brize Norton to Lincoln, pulled into the Spar carpark to buy bread and milk (although that's not important to the story...) came out the shop, got in car, turned key and all dash lights came on as normal, but moment I tried to turn the starter everything cut out and went dead, no lights, couldn't lock car, couldn't open boot etc. The AA was gonna take 2hrs so I called a mate to come look, he said the engine was very warm and had a wiggle of the fuses under the cover, also the battery terminals. Tried the engine again, and got nothing, but a few minutes later I managed to get all the lights on in the car, but again couldn't get it to turn over.... 5 minutes later I tried the engine again and got it going.... Nursed the car home and had no issues since. All coolant/oil levels etc are fine, 1/4 tank of Vpower, oil temp fine, any ideas? My dad thinks possibly battery connections (bad/loose earth) or failing that a starter solenoid issue. Would be grateful for any advice or idea's. Anything is better than my mate who turned up, got out his van and said 'this is why women should not drive cars like these'... Tw4t Cheers guys!
  11. Woohoo, payday!! Perfect!! Come on folks, get your names down!!
  12. I think I saw a white 350z roadster with a dark red roof on the M40 almost at M25 junction.... It doesn't quite sound right to me, but almost positive it was a zed!! It was about 1:30pm time, and at that point I'd been awake for 22hrs.... It may have been my imagination, someone help me out lol!!
  13. I'm so glad i wasn't the only one who did this! Wasn't even considering selling my old car but saw a black zed and thought 'I'll have that!' See so many newbies who take their time to consider every little thing, and i jumped in feet first and thought about it afterwards Anyway welcome to the forum RyanT!

  21. Not heard much good about the Beats by Dre ones at all.... Plus i don't wanna be labelled as someone who knows nothing about good music, like the majority of the kids that wear them!
  22. Ooooh, cheers for all the advice guys Tempted by those premium chambers at £50, not gonna break the bank if i don't like them!! Heard good stuff about the Goldrings too, both them and Bose seem to come out top in any discussions i've had about headphones. Will let you kinow what i decide on
