  1. and like you i'd come to the Zed after owning two S14's and was a bit worried that i'd miss the kick in the pants from a big turbo but i just love the torque offered by the Z33. No matter what exhaust you put on a SR20DET, nothing matches the growl of the V6. Happy motoring.
  2. to the forum. Its a bit strange all of delays, for a gas strut? I'd tell them where to get off regarding their delivery charge, thats outrageous condidering how long they've kept you hanging on. They should be delivering it to you with a full tank of fuel, thats the least they can do considering how long you've had to wait. I agree with 14N you shouldn't be denied your Zed over a gas strut, they can call you and arrange for a convenient time to fit it when they've taken delivery of it. Hope everything turns out OK for you.
  3. and congratulations on the purchase of your vehicle. Judging by your previous thread you got the answers that you were looking for and like you i may be after some struts for the boot but i'm going to try the penny trick first to see if that makes any difference. I hope you enjoy the many miles of motoring you have ahead of you.
  4. Just got to follow up on the 'sweaty' guy who gave you the Altezza, as mentioned before it might be nicked or he ripped off his drug dealer and needed to go abroad either for safety, to go to rehab or both, and he's already starting withdrawal. I think i've got an overactive imagination and need some more kip.
  5. Welcome to the forum and i hope you don't have to wait too long to go for your first long blast.
  6. to the forum which i think you'll find informative and if you've any questions about anything there are many fonts of knowledge to draw from from this friendly bunch.
  7. to the forum. It looks like you've been spending a bit of cash on some well chosen mods. I hope your enjoying your Zed more than your other motor (sorry i can't bring myself to name it lol) from your photos it looks really tidy. I hope you enjoy many miles of driving it.
  8. When you starting mentioning shadow chrome i was thinking, oh no, way to go to ruin the look of the car, but to be honest i think it looks really good, i reckon going brighter is a better move than going darker. Not sure about the purple myself. Shadow chrome is the way to go.
  9. To BBK, I thank you.
  10. Hey Sam, I'm loving the look of your green bonnet dampers and i just love the Kinetix plenum.
  11. I like the height of it, have you put lowering springs on it or coilovers?
  12. These are really popular in Russia and judging by the state of the driving over there they're really needed, plus they use them to put the police off from bribing the driver. I think they're a great idea and i reckon they'll become more popular over here, moreso when they get a little smaller and less obtrusive. Hey BBK, whereabouts did you buy your Blackvue?
  13. Welcome to the forum Does the unit have any other markings on the back of it?
  14. Thanks guys. I was hoping it was nearside, i got it given to me knackered (the previous owner wasn't sure what side it was) and i was hoping to repair it for when my nearside motor fails as its a lot slower than my new driver side motor and i could do a straight swap. Never mind. Thanks for the new part Numbers Ian.
  15. Hey there, I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm trying to identify part number; 80730 CD001. I know its for a window motor but not sure if its nearside or offside. If anyone has any idea it would be of great help. Thanks in advance. Regards, SAM
  16. ^^ Damn shame you haven't got enough carbon, coz i'd love one too.
  17. I've got a 54 coupe and when i remove the burger there were no locating holes it was just stuck on with double sided tape. I know that the US market hatchbacks have 2 locating holes. The bonnet on Uk cars have 2 locating holes.
  18. I think these usually look pretty naff especially when they've been kerbed or badly applied but i've gotta say you've done a great job and the way they break up the solid block of colour really compliments the car.
  19. I live at the top of a pretty steep hill and it has become habit to leave mine in first gear along with the handbrake. At the weekend our new neighbour parked his car in front of mine (thank god) and a couple of hours later had a knock on his door from an irate householder a few doors down who found my neighbours car buried in the back of his, this was after mounting the kerb and taking out a tree. We have yet to find out the cost of repairs and its a shame i didn't get photo's.
  20. ^^^^Tinyflier, I'm totally with you there. The undertray along with the wheelarch liners are important when it comes to directing air under/around/over the car. Not so much when pootling around town. I've read this before but can't remeber for the life of me where.
