  1. I have 225 and 245 on a 40 profile. Car is lowered by 30 with 25 rear and 20 front spacers. Works for me.
  2. Cheers for the comments Forgot to give a big thumbs up to Demon Tweeks for today; supply and fit of the Eibach springs and spacers for £600 inc alignment Used them lots for the mods on my MR2 that I had before the Z
  3. Thought it about time I posted my Z journey so far..... I'd been on the lookout for a Z for a couple of months; been spending a fair bit of time in Sao Paulo with work and seen quite a few on the streets looking amazing In April 2012, saw a 2009 GM 313 GT advertised, drove down and put a deposit on there and then. Only 16000 on the clock as the previous owner did very little mileage. I had no intention of doing any mods at all to begin with. But then started hanging around on this forum...... First dabble.. time to replace the stereo with a new headunit that had DAB and iPod connectivity Took out the bluetooth adapter and routed the ipod to here, built a simple holder using a cheap case of eBay Next, some speaker updates,, Alpine sub, Zenclosure under strutt and JL Amp Replace the rear speakers, but wanted them on show DAB reception was pants, so replaced the external FM with a DAB one Then, Tarmac had an offer on the Takeda dual induction kit And then a Cobra resonated to go with it Interior LED change (which caused me a nightmare, blew fuses and one of the switches) And today, was over at Demon Tweeks getting Eibach springs and spacers fitted That's the journey so far.... Uprev planned for next year.......
  4. I'd like to keep the speakers visible if possible.
  5. Finally got around to replacing the Edge speakers I fitted a few months back. Went with a pair of Hertz ECX 165.5 Very nice sound But, as I have them fitted like this: I need a surround to tidy up the look; hide the screw clips etc Any ideas? Are there generic surrounds available?
  6. Been just over 3 months now since I swapped to a set of Vredestein 40 on each corner. Off to Demon Tweeks on Saturday for a set of Eibach spacers and springs to be fitted :-)
  7. Great quote from Demon Tweeks. £135 to fit and laser align Happy Days
  8. Interesting. Quote was from a trusted garage in NW Will try Demon Tweeks tomorrow
  9. As the subject line, how much should I be looking at to have a set installed and setup? Quoted £330
  10. Try this,..... https://www.dropbox.com/s/ulgzkxfxj4pmjyu/AV.pdf
  11. You'll find info in the AV service manual Here you go https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/AV.pdf?w=AAAZlms_5rfE5-yVw69OwvDmId31fsaszExeS_PvhE7lyA

    Best tyres

vredestein ultrac sessanta Cool looking tyre. Dropping to 40 profile rather than 45 I got full set fitted for £465
  13. Can't find any info on that. Sounds like a return to me. I would try another fitter as well if they couldn't work out the phono connections
  14. In what way? never used a DVD or CD in mine tbh, have it linked to an iPod Touch routed to where the bluetooth adapter used to be so either use that or DAB
  15. Link to the AV section of the service manual https://www.dropbox.com/s/ulgzkxfxj4pmjyu/AV.pdf Has instructions for removal/install
  16. Great pics thanks. Will do mine tomorrow. Just to clarify, you only need to remove the unit if you have to replace the little white push switches; for the bulbs only you just remove the plastic covers and pop the bulbs out. As per post by Sam Mcgoo
  17. I have the same headunit installed. The unit has the standard 2x front, 2x rear and 2x sub. So, not sure about the statement regarding connections. Perhaps they plugged the rear speakers into the sub output on the HU by mistake? The sub takes its feed from the rear speaker output. I lost FM totally why Installed the unit. DAB reception was pants as well with any of the internal aerials I tried. Tried glass and an amplified one. I eventually see the external FM aerial for a body mount DAB one. http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_DBA-5001_DAB_car_aerial.html Now have full DAB signal all the time and no burble
  18. Yep, but further up the post you will see I managed to blow one of the switches in the unit. Needed to replace that, which needs the unit removed to get to the back.
  19. replacement bulbs and light unit arrived, so took a few snaps replacing the switch Easing out the unit The connecting wire clip Working LED lights :-)
  20. So it was the switch then ? How did you get the covers off the interior lights do the whole unit come out of the car roof including the sunglasses case. ? Surprisingly easy. Insert a small screwdriver into the surround of the map light unit. There are 4 clips, 2 on each side. The unit then just pops out and is connected via the usual 350z plug type. The switches themselves just push on/pull off.
  21. Managed to get hold of a replacement unit off eBay and ordered some proper bulbs to go in it. So, anyone else who is daft enough to do the same; I'll have a spare switch!
  22. The only android HU I would even remotely consider would be a Parrot one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Parrot-ASTEROID-Smart-Navigation-Multimedia/dp/B00BGBO1ZC But, for that price you would get a descent branded HU
