  1. Really sorry to hear this Ian, thoughts go out to you and your family. Hope everything goes as smoothly as it can do
  2. Coilovers ride better than oem for me, they are 14 way adjustable so offer great flexibility depending on wether I want daily comfort or drive like a loon. One of the best mods for the far imo
  3. Buy a 3l tub of meguiars last touch and dilute it with water as clay lube. Perfect

  8. As above really, I know it's tiny but still needs must At the back of the A pillar above the black B pillar cover there's a blue clip that holds the rear of the pillar on. Nissan can't seem to get it right so don't fancy asking them to order all the clips just for the sake of it. Anybody got two? Traders maybe Cheers Arran

  15. Looks pretty good the more I look at it tbf, but to give the look your going for the maximum effect, I think it needs these to finish it, which then it would look pretty rude imo Ducktail spoiler instead of standard lip Gloss black roof wrap Carbon mirror caps Coilovers and spacers
  16. Its a long read but I hope an interesting one. Has been an entertaining journey to say the least its a great car and perfect for what I need Cheers
  17. I could always use the Nismo valve springs clark motorsport have on offer at the moment the stock limit is 6600rpm and uprev is 7000rpm so theres the extra 400rpm technically, although ive never taken it there!
  18. The Tomei ones do give good gains throughout the rev range without raising the limiter or having it all up top, thats what the Procam's are for i believe as you can have 272+ duration which would be all up top. The G1 has a duration of 256 and the G2 264 so nice and streetable.Ive been told that the G2 cams available were fitted into a DE without issue but im a bit reluctant to use them at the moment without knowing an awful lot of info yetThe work involved inst to much of an issue as the rockers will be off anyway
  19. Afternoon all Long story short im to'ing and fro'ing with the idea of a set of cams namely Tomei, I have a bit of a dilemma which im hoping someone can give me some advice on. Tomei list cams for each model of 350, The G1 model is for the DE, the G2 for the REVUP and G3 for the HR. Mine is a DE The Poncam are specifically drop in cams, no valve spring upgrade required and timing is pre set on the nock pins. So literally drop in Here is the specs from Tomei ENGINE APPLICATION DURATION (Deg) MAX CAM LIFT (mm) IN/EX MAX VALVE LIFT mm) COLD VALVE CLEARANCE (mm)[±0.01] VALVE TIMING CENTER LINE (Deg) BASE CIRCLE PART NO. MSRP (USD) VQ35DE EARLY (-05.09) Z33 MT & AT 256 10.20 IN 9.90 0.30 125 ø35.40 143063 $880.00 V35 4Dr/2Dr MT EX 9.87 0.33 112 VQ35DE LATE (-07.01) Z33 MT 264 10.80 IN 10.50 0.30 125 143064 EX 10.47 0.33 126 VQ35HR Z33 MT IN 10.50 0.30 122 143065 EX 10.47 0.33 124 PLEASE NOTE Upgrading the Valve Springs is required when using Camshafts with Cam Lift greater than 11.0mm (sold separately). When using Camshafts with Cam lift greater than 11.0mm on the intake side there is a chance that the valves can come into contact with the piston when the eVTC advances the timing. In this case it is highly recommended to recess the pistons to guarantee adequate clearance. Example: The standard advance amount with the stock head and stock pistons with the eVTC will require approximately 1mm valve recess on the piston. Note the info at the bottom about anymore than 11.0mm of lift will require upgraded valve springs and the valve may come into contact with the piston. The advice im after is could i use the G2 (REVUP) in my DE being that the lift on the G2 is 10.8mm as opposed to the G1 which is 10.2mm so still under 11.0mm but would i be risking it to much as the clearance would only be 0.2mm. My car is uprev'd which i believe the limiter has moved up to 7000rpm, i have never gone into the red (past 6600rpm) and wouldnt start to either regardless of what camshaft i used. If anyone could help with this issue that would be brilliant, Only considering using the G2 as they are available from a member on here ready to go so would save me so time and money importing the G1 from the US Thanks guys Arran
  20. Thanks guys Matt it's actually not that bad at all even though it looks expensive its from jack at royal steering wheels and was 125 plus my wheel. For the transformation in look and driving feel its a small price to pay imo. Feels absolutely superb to drive with. If the weather lets me I plan to swap the handles over this weekend
  21. Cheers dude, looks and feels soooo much better than the standard one. Band looks great whilst driving to Yeah when the cooler goes in so will the gauge just empty for now
  22. So today managed to finally fit my new steering wheel and change over the clockspring that was buggered from doing the manifolds. Pleased to say it's all fixed and working as it should again. No more dash like a christmas tree Here's the new wheel, top and bottom in alcantara with orange centre band at top, orange stitching and perforated nappa leather on the sides. All padded aswell for extra thickness. Feels lovely to drive with really changed the way it feels just like the E36 one I had Next up will be doing the door handles and a few small jobs Thanks for reading as usual Cheers Arran

    New car time!

Why do people still insist that if someone buys a porsche its got to be a 911? The cayman and boxster are widely known and coveted to be cracking sports cars and pretty much at the top end of every group test every time. Yes the 911 is their flagship sports car, carrera gt is the super car but the cayman and boxster are great cars in their own right.
