Where do you park mate!! That a towing ball dent?
  2. Spot on. I agree that money is not the be all and end all. Also good grades don't guarantee anything. Learnt that after uni when I had to go back to working in a wind screen wiper factory just to find a job. I didn't actually think my degree was worth anything for a few years but then the last two roles I've had I couldn't have got without the degree. Doesn't mean I'm all that happy though. But then I get bored easy Working with you hands, being creative, I don't think is something you can learn. Either got it or you haven't and yes agree that it should be worth just as much in the job market as anything else. I'd argue the same for care based roles where people have some really awful jobs they have to do and get paid pittance to do it. I'm my world lol I'd be turning a lot of the wage structures on their heads.
  3. And no. Not knowing your Mac Beth doesn't make you dumb lol. When people do judge based on things like that it gets my goat. Get that even now out of education. People thinking they are God's gift to IT and databases. What they don't realise is that no body knows it all and everyone will be wrong at some stage. Stopping with that though before I start to rant lol
  4. Totally agree that the majority of stuff you learn in school is no use. I can't think of much that I learned in school that I use now for example Shakespeare or any religious education. I think it's like was said that a levels are suppose to get u in the mind set for degrees. Doesn't always work that's for sure when you look at the drop off rates for most courses after the first year. But I think that's the idea. The basic stuff I learned though with regards to English and maths obviously has helped me. I suppose the best thing is to do what you enjoy. At any stage in your life. If you don't enjoy school and can see something you're good at that you can make into a career go for it. Also I think there's too much pressure to be 'successful'. Means people take jobs for long periods of their lives just to earn mega bucks. But really it doesn't make you happy.
  5. O and I believe that doing something you enjoy should make it easier for you to be really successful in it. If it doesn't feel like a job you'll always do better.
  6. 350z I don't think gcse's mean much. A levels more so. As for degrees. Tricky one. Most of my mates and me included struggled to find jobs after uni. But that was due to the lack of jobs in our fields. Now a few years on all of em are doing really well. Technically I am too but don't enjoy my job, different story. I also agree that for the vast majority without qualifications you will struggle to get above a certain grade. There are very few mega successful business people (the millionaires I mean) that haven't had significant help from either loaded parents/family or friends. All I'd say is for god sake do something you enjoy what ever the pay.
  7. Can properly abuse this new clutch of yours then
  8. Lol. Not me. But also appreciate a mighty beard! Lots of Zeds popping up all over south Wales
  9. O and it'll be good to see what your new ideas are on your engine cover.
  10. Cheers made a rod for my own back with the polishing and cleaning it'll take to keep it looking decent lol more alloy bits to go in there yet. I did think about the middle sized hose but was worried about it not going all the way around. I'll try it on the furthest right hose anyway see how it goes. Think we probably got the kits from the same place on eBay then. Good to know
  11. No probs thought I'd show yours off as it looks so great mate. Got my hydro dipped interior bits back this week which I'm really pleased with ~ not fitting them till the end of this month though. (pictures will be then) They look so good in fact that I now have plans to eventually have dipped the B pillars and my engine cover. Carrie not sure if you've got stuff dipped yet but once you do its an eye opener. Can dip so many bits and since it bonds to the paint it's not like stickers or anything like that. GM gonna need pics mate can't wait. B pillers look excellent dipped.
  12. Cheers GM lol Carrie where did you get the flexi hosing from to cover the existing black stuff. I've done the same but find the widest hose is a bit big for the far right hose as you look at the engine bay. But then the size down from that is too thin to slip over exactly.
  13. Air brushed. That's a really good job. Takes some skill.
  14. Great job. Looks really good. Engine cover looks painted but may well be wrong.
  15. Yer afraid of that. The nuts I'm looking at are 48mm long. Don't want em poking too far out.
  16. Welcome aboard japfest was excellent but like u said it won't help your bank balance
  17. Just wondering if anyone knows the length of the standard wheel nuts for the 350z. I've got the lmgt4 wheels. What I'm trying to figure out (without the car at the moment) is how deep the wheel sockets are/height of the wheel nuts. Thinking about a new set of nuts but want to know how far they will poke out of the wheel sockets. A little is OK for me. But not miles. Cheers.
  18. Can't wait won't have all the bits done to the car in time but then there's the rest of the year for that.
  19. excellent thanks muchly Jacking the car is something i stress about more than anything.
