I'd be gutted to have owned my car for that little time before someone smashed it up. As for women and all that. accidents will happen and I don't think gender really comes into it. I've seen all genders and ages doing stupid crap on the road in all sorts of vehicles. best yet happened to be a woman purely by chance. riding my bike across the Severn bridge some BMW swerving over the lanes, managed to get passed the car thinking what's wrong with them, are they drunk? as I passed there's a woman sat in the car driving with her knees while eating a bowl of cereal! honestly partly made me laugh and partly scared the crap out of me lol.

in till 1pm Xmas eve. back in Thursday and Friday Xmas week and then back in on the 2nd Jan. could be worse.

O I'd also say that when other people don't get extras for evenings and weekends etc it is a crap situation but people need to stick together and demand that they too get enhanced rates for evenings and weekends assuming that's not your employed shift times. think we should see others that are getting treated better and say 'why aren't we getting that, we deserve that' rather than what you hear sometimes 'o that's not fair I don't get that so you shouldn't either'. should aim to raise the standard of living not drop it. Sorry soapbox over lol

Good on you having a setup like that. I'd agree with what another person said and try reflexology or something like that. I'm looking at things like that since personally it would be more rewarding than IT plus not bad pay. Id also say that I wouldn't work weekends or evenings without extra money. They try to make us without offering enhanced rates and I refuse. Worked in private sector IT before and contracting and always got treated better than I am now in the crappy public sector bar one particularly useless small company. mate of mine contracts for himself. has a long term network management role with a school where he works one week on and one week off so 6 months or so out of the year and gets over 30k a year for that. lucky git lol def try something like reflexology and those areas assuming you'd be into that of course.

purely out of interest is one of the reasons to seize to do with whether the detector effects the laser signal? If it just detects it without interrupting it its ok??

+1 got mine from a forum member and compared to the other ones I'd looked at it was the best by a long way. I'd say the same as others plenty of research and also don't rush into it. Make sure you know exactly what you want then keep hunting and waiting till you find that perfect car at the right price for you. took me about 4 ish months to find the right one. Before I found the 'one' I'd missed out on a couple of others from eBay and the like plus I'd seen a tatty one just up the road from me. It really helped to show me that waiting for the right one is really worth it.

just to check. is it just the rear wheels that can't go on the rollers? or both front and back? And it's only when it comes to the brake test part of the mot?

Why is it though that DIY things on the car always happen in the winter? Is it just me or is life just out to get me ! but once you've had time to warm up and grab a beer it is satisfying knowing you've done it yourself and saved some money even if it's not that much :-)

Thanks its not a bad result and shine wise it blends in with the rest of the paint. I may sand it back and do the colour and clear coat again though because I can see a tiny lighter speck in there. I know what you mean about the weather. I made up a little cover from plastic and used low tack tape to hold it all together while I let it dry for a day or two. that was just for the primer really though. The Nissan paint set really quick. You'll have to send over some pics of before and after you've done it.

lol. well ocd or sad its saved me 90 odd quid from Halfords.

Started the car today. hardly turned over. O o I thought. tried again. nothing. initial thought was a dead battery and the cost for a new one. Thankfully the previous owner (leonk) was seriously organised so had a look through the paperwork and there's the Halfords receipt from May 2011. now I wasn't sure if they would accept the battery as it was just flat. However popped down the local Halfords just before closing tonight and they swapped it over no questions asked. seriously chuffed battery switched and the zed is purring again. so what could have been a crappy day turns out to be a bit of a winner.

we actually had one area near me that had no voters at all! what a total mockery. surely they should have asked if we wanted this first. Unless it was sneaked in at the last general election as part of their polices.

just wanted to post up the end pic. happyish with the finish. If i can get two clear days with ok temps I might sand back to the primer and re do the top coat and clear coat because it's not perfect. but not to bad for a first attempt I think.

the ASA only listen to the freaks that's the problem. There were loads of complaints when PETA had a billboard advert put up in Merthyr saying that letting your kids eat meat was child abuse. lots of complaints but the ASA sided with PETA. ive got their email response somewhere but basically they were saying that PETA can say that because it's their belief. This is a belief not upheld by any professional of course just their warped imaginations and yet the ASA gets involved in a car advert with minimal complaints. They are a total waste of space. end of rant sorry.

just wanted to say that the ASA are a bunch of @&'s and that's from personal experience.

I'd say definitely go for 19s.ive seen zeds with 18s and couldn't believe the difference when I got one with 19s. really makes the car.
