no worries I was fine just some gravel rash down my left hand side where my textile jacket rose up over the top of my bike trousers. had come off a roundabout must have picked up something on the rear and as I accelerated away back end kicked hard left. inexperience meant I shut the throttle too hard and next thing I knew the tail snap right chucking me and the bike down the road. only about 30mph. lid took most damage as I landed left hand side and bounced my head on the road lol it did its job though and I was fine. lid had a crack right down the left hand side! I'll have a look for the plastic padding stuff. It comes in a pair of tubes doesn't it? Have been going through eBay for a while looking for bits. haven't seen a front cowling for the suzuki sv 1000 apart from US but even then with damage. The tail sections are also pretty scarce. but ideally I'd rather pick up the parts since my repair probably won't be that great lol.

would never have thought of baking powder? what does the powder do? plastic padding ok ill have a look at that too. Not expecting to be able to get the cowling back to original but somewhere nearer to original would be good.

hi. I've been looking around on the net and other bike sites however thought I'd ask here Incase anyone's been down the same road. Basically I came off my sv 1000 a while back and im now looking to try to repair the damage to the plastics around the front cowling and also to the rear tail fairing. The lower fairing is also damaged but I'm thinking of taking the bike back to its natural half faired look anyway. I'll get some pics up on the weekend but I just wondered if anyone else had had experience with filling or plastic welding in these kind of circumstances. main damage is the front cowling which has basically got medium sized gouges down the left hand side. any advice welcomed. like I said I'll get pics up on the weekend. Cheers all.

apparently Oscar really wanted to redecorate the bathroom. specifically the bathroom door but the gf was dead against it.

oo its gonna be fun at the last game assuming England and Wales win everything till then. personally I want Wales to win but then I'm Welsh. but I know full well they are gonna have to turn up considerably more confident and more like the old winning ways team. only 9 points difference in the for score assuming that's what decides it Incase of a tie in wins and losses. so if Wales beat England by more than 9 that would do it. love it when it's a close competition. can anyone confirm that it is on the for score if the wins and losses are drawn?

gotta take all your chances. I expect England to win now with 5 mins left. leaves them unbeaten but doesn't it mean if Wales and them win the rest of their games it'll all Come down to the last game at Cardiff? If Wales win then both teams would have 1 loss and if Wales scored a enough points against England the take the championship due to the for scores?

ok my zeds not lowered but what is the knack to getting a lowered car over humps apart from just going really slow. strangely even with a non lowered zed I've had one incident of a concrete speed bump scrapping the y section of the exhaust.

One of my drunken incidents, out in Newquay having some beers. end of the night shattered waiting for the taxi with my mates. sat on my ass on the floor. taxi turns up. I shout to one of my mates to give me a hand up. He reaches down I grab his hand and he gives one all might pull. However the grip wasn't that good so as he pulled his hand slipped then gripped harder just as he had hold of my thumb. pulled it straight out of the socket. at the time it hurt enough and couldn't move my thumb. was way worse in the morning though so trip to a and e and had it popped back in. lovely that's one incident anyway. There are worse ones especially for dares but not putting them on here lol.

that bumper would drive me nuts as well. I would do what others have said wait for another one to come up for sale. I looked for months and months and found literally a perfect 350 on private sale. spotless. So they are out there you just have to not rush into it.

most traffic police probably fine but without doubt there are some total idiot police out there. If possible report the incident although don't know if anything would be done. police are only human and that unfortunately means some bad examples.
