as louisa said I've found Admiral to be good. I've got a twin policy with Admiral covering the zed and an old r reg fiesta for around 450 for the year. I'm 35 though so that probably helped a little. They even took the 8 years ncd I've got on the fiesta and mirrored it on to the zed so I've got 8 years on both cars.

interesting read. only way to really know if something is right is to research it yourself. I'm sure even snopes is wrong sometimes

Im surprised your insurance is that much. whats your age though? I passed my test 4 years back. got straight on a suzuki sv 1000 and that was about 500 for the first year. I was 31 at the time though.

im with Admiral as well. got both cars on it (fiesta and zed) plus got the extras on the zed covered ie non standard back box, discs and wheels. really cheap compared to all the other companies I tried plus since it was the first year with the zed they even mirrored my 8 years ncd on to the zed so that I've kept my 8 years on the fiesta and got the 8 years on the zed. chuffed. so I can see why you got a good deal like that. so far they seem pretty good. wait and see if it's the same story come renewal time though.

@glrnet lol that sounds brilliant. he's not got the best track record. its shocking when you read back through his history. I do find rugby crowds to generally be excellent fun though. The banter can be just as much fun as the game itself sometimes.

its a shame when people are like that. banter is all well and good and it can be quite close to the bone sometimes which is fine. But other times too much. was in Bath a few years ago just me and the gf watching England vs Wales in a pub. There was a large group of English supporters there. All was fine but must have heard the misses accent when she went to the bar the one time and then it was all the usual 'you shag sheep' and all that. Normally I wouldn't mind and we could have a laugh about it with them but they were going out of their way to be a bunch of pricks about it I assume thinking we wouldn't say anything back. this was until they'd finished one of their rounds of 'swing low' when they got back the internationally accepted 'you can stick your @#&*FD# chariots up your arse' from me and the gf. amazingly they shut the hell up after that lol. had some amazing banter in the past with other teams supporters its just sometimes people can be utter twats. O and I mean that about any supporters not just English ones lol seen some crappy behaviour from some Welsh fans in the past as well.

lol i doubt they got it for a grand in the first place. not sure about the asking price as well. dont know if they mentioned the mileage on it. Had actually looked at boxster S's as well before getting the zed. still prefer the zeds looks. liked those wheels in black.

how cheap did they get that boxster!? Can't believe the owner sold it for that when the fix for the gearbox was just a filter and oil change especially when he was on a forum. someone would have told him to try that first. gotta remind myself its just entertainment and not real lol

I enquired about all my music etc on iTunes and according to the girl in the shop I spoke to, she said there's an app called 'easy phone sync' which is simple to use and tranfers all your iTunes data onto the new storgae provider. I did exactly that when I moved from my I phone 3gs to the galaxy s3. used iTunes a lot so the music part was important to me. got all my music on to the s3 easy enough plus with Google music I still find it easy to buy music on the go.

im getting 24mpg at an average 34mph. I budgeted the car running at 22mpg so nearly spot on

hi Josh. I had the same code a couple of months ago. 2135 is the throttle position sensor. For me I found the car went into limp mode. managed to get her home. I got the code and then reset it and did all the other resets your can do with the accelerator pedal. then took the car for a run and she's been fine ever since including a long trip to Cornwall and back. I've seen other posts about this on the forum. Try googling it against this forum Incase the search isn't giving you any results. I think people have suggested cleaning the throttle body in the past as well as checking that the intake pipe and parts are all secure and the maf sensor and wiring is connected clean etc etc. have a look around and you should be able to find what you need. I'm a newbie so more experienced members will probably be along to give a better answer ill have a look for the link to the post with all the pedal dance resets you can do.

bbk have you got a pic from the inside of the car to see how the camera looks. interested to see how much space it uses up

lol total carb overload? I ended up dehydrated because i had a really bad case of the skitter's! not good! I know full well what I've just eaten is like 3 days worth of fats and sugars. taste soooooo good though. The skitters will get you, lol! relying on cider to sort that out lol I'd stick a toilet roll in the freezer just incase! so wrong yet possibly so right lol
