  1. I'm not getting into that otherwise someone will say something safe to say within the next 6 months I'll be swapping the backs for the same. currently she's not matched between front and back and all has been ok.
  2. tell me about it. washed her in the rain Sunday and I'd already sealed the wheels and polished the exhaust. got Friday off to try to give her a quick clean then paint cleaner and wax her plus do the inside and probably the wheels and exhaust again lol o and get a nice new set of mpss's fitted on the front. cant wait to get them on
  3. do you apply the qd to the cloths or straight to the car?
  4. thanks for all the advice. checked the lune again. there's a really slight colour to it. think that's where the pink is coming from.
  5. lol true. if i was at home I would. will have another look tomorrow when I get home. just thought it a bit odd. praying it'll be dry Friday now because I seriously want to clay the whole car and do the rest of the steps as well. crappy weather!
  6. roll on the weekend indeed. cars looking lovely. only managed to wash mine today nothing else since its raining all poxy day. going to try to get Friday off to clean the car properly.
  7. excellent clip thanks. yep that's what I was doing. when I get chance to do the car this week I'll just have to go over her a few times. once done then it's the paint cleaner then wax. fingers crossed Friday will be ok and can spend all day on her ready for the weekend. will have to double check the detailer but when I sprayed it it looked clear but once I'd rubbed the clay across a pink I was getting a pink liquid on the car and the clay.
  8. thanks all. glad to know using losts of lube is the right thing to do it's the auto glym kit. I just cannot figure out where the pink residue is coming from. could that be wax or something applied to the car in the past? not waxed it since I had her 6 months back just washed. although gonna do a full job on Friday before the Wales meet.
  9. hi. just a few quick questions. I tested a clay kit just on the roof of the zed today. never used clay before. sprayed the quick detailer on to the roof in patches and used the supplied clay bar to swipe back and forth over the rood. afterwards I'm finding that the surface is a bit slicker but still seems to have some resistance. do I just need to wipe off the left over detailer and go again? also I'm spraying quite a bit of detailer so that the clay doesn't grab as it's going along the paint work. is that right? final question is that I'm getting pink liquid residue as I'm claying. now the detailer is clear liquid and the clay is white. what is this pink liquid I'm seeing? cheers
  10. welcome. there's more experienced people on the forum that'll be able to help with your question but in my case I get the same kind of noise when the clutch is released. pressing the clutch down seems to stop the slightly rattly noise. I'm sure I've read on the forum that it's common and not a problem. but like I said wait till someone more experienced comes along car isn't slipping in gears or anything?

  17. lol thought you might say that. have read the posts regarding same tyres across the car. I'll have to get a price on the mpss's then. see if the same fitter will just fit tyres.
