  1. that sounds like fun twobears! like that its a max of two per session, sounds good.
  2. After this weekend i can second the vote for the mpss. Loads and loads of front end grip, felt like the car was on rails.
  3. if i'd have thought there could have been 3 of us Damn, didn't think about that myself either, doh I went the coast road, down through Aber - god that road is awful - traffic lights and caravans and none will let you through gutting! there are some good roads from aber that i've done on the bike but guessing you weren't on them. right then next time we organise travelling together i reckon.

  5. rofl no, no caravan this time especially not at the rate that guy was going! Thanks for travelling back with me mate. Made it a much more interesting drive apart from my satnav failure! Cant believe some of the roads we found and that run from Newtown you suggested is excellent fun I'd wondered how my exhaust sounded, glad to know it aint that bad then. You need to get yours sorted now, bet it'll make a hell of a noise once that's all on. I did notice people stopping to look with two blue zeds passing by. Best way to drive a zed i reckon is in a convoy O and i'm gonna have to work on that lambo impression i pulled in the car when trying to sync the revs while down changing. Total bit of luck that it actually sounded good lol.
  6. lol thanks for that. being a newbie to it I was worried my 'progress' wouldn't be enough but the car really does give you confidence. brakes actually are ok on the whole. only get the issue if i have to brake heavily a few times in a row. going to be swapping out the brake fluid asap though because I don't want to feel that happening again. was a great few drive outs weren't it.
  7. Just wanted to say thanks for a brilliant weekend all. Like others have said, massive thanks to all who helped to organise this weekend. I can only imagine it must be a massive job considering the numbers of people, the drives, meals etc etc. Having never done this kind of meet before i wasn't sure what to expect but i've gotta say i haven't stop grinning since i came back. I've learnt loads about the car and what its capable of, met great people and had a proper laugh. Can't wait for next year now and i'm definitely going to arrive on the Friday and not leave till the Monday next year. It feels weird driving the car around now and not having zeds in front and behind me! Things i learned from Wales 2013 1. Traction Control is a pain in the ass. 2. My break fluid is knackered lol. 3. I'm going to need to get a bigger credit card because i've seen so many parts i now want for the car. 4. Two lemons is dangerous (some people will get this ) Bring on 2014
  8. No bias in that post ;-) Been great fun looking after her. She was mint when you sold her to me so that's made life a lot easier! Credit to you
  9. that sounds excellent. I'll have to have a look at that kit and see if I can put one together. cannot wait for tomorrow. early start for me.
  10. poxy poxy poxy weather. done to clean and claying. guy came to fit the two new front tyres all good. now raining. still need to do the paint cleaner and wax. come on weather sort it out!
  11. cool. well I swilled it off. much better. once dried got rid of any left over excess. using the Qd that comes from auto glym. not sure I like it. seems a bit heavy if that makes sense. will try another one next time I clay. right need the rain to stop now then on to paint cleaning and waxing.
  12. only quick one since I'm mid way through doing the car before it starts raining. after claying give the car a quick swill with water? or not?
  13. ok looking at the posts then i'll definitely be bringing some refreshments! I did think like others "aren't there bars to drink at" but good point made, if they shut at 11pm then might need some extras. I can see me bringing some cleaning supplies and never having time to use them
  14. wow. better now I know others will be bringing quite a bit of gear. I'll get buckets when I'm there I think and just bring what else I have. will be good to see the kind of gear other people use.
  15. no +1 for me. more room for beer then.
  16. ta. I did think having to bring buckets would be a nightmare
  17. just out of interest what cleaning supplies do people take to the Wales yearly meet? I was thinking I was being a bit daft thinking about bringing buckets and mits and shampoo etc etc etc. do people take the whole kit with them?
  18. cheers for the info. I'll have a look around on the auction sites. the cheap Chinese sounds great for the wallet. not so good for the ecu though lol will have to have a think.
  19. nice finish on that! love that beading.
  20. yep it's nattys poorboy wax. the dust must have been a combination of not letting the first coat set for long enough and then over applying the second coat. cheers for the advice. bbk will have a look at that wax on the weekend then. was thinking about bringing some supplies for cleaning.
  21. cheers. 24hrs! and I thought 5 mins was enough lol will try that next time. for now and with Wales weekend approaching will be just the one coat across the rest of the car. thanks as well, loving the shine on the roof. fingers crossed for the rest of it. my arms are gonna be knackered by the end of Friday will have a look at the dodo stuff as well. do like my car smelling of bubble gum though.
  22. Hi all Just a quick question. Never used wax before but since i had 30 mins of dry weather wanted to try out the poorboys wax on the roof. So clayed and then used Meguires paint cleaner on it. Then applied a thin coat of the poorboys wax - let it dry to a haze and buffed it off. Left it another 5 mins then applied another coat. This time when i buffed it off though it was harder to buff off plus it produced some fine white powder as i buffed it. Is this correct or is it because i put too much on the second time around or didn't let the first coat set for long enough? End product was ok though :-)
  23. Hi All, Just wondered if anyone has a recommendation for a Tech2 machine. I'm not sure if these are manufacturer dependant or not? Looking for one for a vauxhall zafira. Any advice welcomed. :-)
