  1. coolio - thanks all - hoped that would be the answer :-)
  2. I've just double checked and it says in the motordyne instructions to start at 40 inch pounds. thats tiny though - i can't even find a torque wrench that starts that low. can anyone confirm i'm not just getting the wrong end of the stick?
  3. God I am dense. Taken me this long to realise that your 350zedd's son You both going to the North Wales meet?
  4. We had one just before Christmas. I reckon after may we'll all be able to get together around South Wales somewhere.
  5. Car could "break down" on Saturday night requiring an over night stay with some drinks. Then Sunday it could get fixed but require a bit of driving around north Wales just to make sure it's all ok?
  6. As far as I know it's the whifbitz gtr. Should of got some more pics. Do love the look of the gtr's. Little out of my price league though lol. That 1300bhp supra must be mental to drive.
  7. lol rust would make sense. i worry enough about it on the 350z. God knows how i'd cope on the 240
  8. Gutted Ian but totally understandable. Hope you get it all sorted ok. Mini wales meet sounds good to me any excuse to get out in the zed more.
  9. I am going to have to get a proper camera and just take more 240z pics lol Don't worry the zeds fine lol Just not running because plenum is off and other bits. Parts will start going back on now ready for May. Gotta get her up and fit the new exhaust soon. Sooooo tempted to get more parts but limiting myself since 1. I've spent enough for now 2. running out of time to do everything i want to. Body work will be my next area to concentrate on after may i think. Although would love to do what Ian and others are doing and put a v8 in her.
  10. The garage is in Caldicot. Severn Bridge industrial estate. Hopefully he'll put up another open day and i'll have the zed running to take along. Gotta agree about the 240z. Such a good looking car. Reminds me of an american muscle car. The rear is stunning as well. Must get pics of that next time.
  11. cheers That turbo is a bullseye s383 apparently. Runs up to 2.4 bar of pressure! not an expert on turbo's but that's huge isnt it.
  12. Thanks to some supra owning friends of mine decided to go to the above open day in Caldicot on Saturday. Some really good looking cars, supra's, gtr's and a stunning 240z! Firstly Ian's Supra really nice looking car. Those bride seats look fantastic and i really like the gold/silver BBS wheels. The whifbitz supra. Stripped out and running i believe around 1300bhp. Mental Turbo on that is ridiculously huge lol More supra joy They've got a 1000BHP GTR as well - lost the bloody photos of most of it though apart from the engine To be fair it was a fairly standard looking gtr i thought from the outside but that power would make for a nice surprise Also saw a nice R33 skyline as well. Really liked the colour. Doesn't come out well on my mobile pics but had a kind of metallic purple look to it. Really nice. If i could afford to run more than one performance car i'd love one of these And then my favorite car present. Never seen one in the flesh before but love the look of these Loveeeeee 240z's Thanks for looking. I'll try to get a proper camera next time and get some proper shots. Spent too much time talking cars though and pretty much forgot to take pics lol
  13. Looking good paddy! Really good blue. You had that resprayed at all?
  14. You'll love the rwd! Was my first as well and is so much fun
  15. Welcome along. More and more of us joining from Wales. Plenty of pics of the car please

    My Supra

Love that car. Looks really good Ian. Didn't realise how much you'd had done to it. I gotta say I like the wheels gold and silver.
  17. Lol. Good because that's what I'm gonna tell myself too
  18. Glad to hear it I'd had a look at your throttle body thread as well mate. Seemed doable. Like the shiny white colour. It's not perfect. Even after three coats there's a small patch or two where it seems like the paint isn't sticking. Slightly thin. Will see how it looks once it's been left over night and go from there. Used plastikote metal primer and then their white radiator paint. Saw that graham had used this in the past as well so fingers crossed Cheers.
  19. Because of the great guides and what not we've got on here decided to give it a go and spray paint my throttle body. This is how it looks now while drying. Just gotta wait and see how it looks once it's totally dry and of course to make sure it still works lol.
  20. There's the old fluid dynamics thing as well. That passing through a smaller tube means flow rate must increase in the smaller section. So say cars are the fluid and there's more and more of them but the roads don't increase in width. We need to be raising speed limits to allow the flow to maintain. So should up the speed limits to 90mph and that way less congestion lol. Just an idea
