  7. change the pink to like a battleship grey i would drive it
  8. i mean what next a drift car must only be a 80-90 Japanese rwd coupe as thats what it originated from so a mustang and a m3 cant be a drift car
  9. Because its in a hot rod magazine or posted on the internet... it must qualify as a hot rod even if its a near std jap car with an engine swap right! I have had it wrong all these years, next hot rod show I attend I'll ask the guys for their take on the subject...and after I recover from the bruises I'll get back to you. I'm often at nsra hot rod show at billing so I'll see ya there along side moris minor rods and mini clubman rods or my old man's friends Capri rod so these arnt Rod because there not 20-30 americana?
  10. or these two a jeep and a jag, The age doesn't define a hot rod. Do you really think Hot rods in the 1950s where built spending over $100k on a build like Chip Foose and Boyd Coddington to sit in the halls of sema if so your a fool, The original hot rods where built to the smallest cost with what every better parts they could land there hands on, o wait isnt that what the likes of people putting V8 engine in Japanese and European coupes are doing
  11. So why is one of hotrod magazine project cars a 1971 datsun, but i mean your obviously more qualified than the longest running hot rod publication
  12. i put 95 in the daily at 107 yesterday
  13. 4k all in for a super charger is unlikly prepare for about 6-7 but for 14k a super charged monaro if you want bhp
  14. think with lexx stepping down it died off
  15. or maybe not a 265/45/18 is way to high on the sidewall
  16. words of the man who didnt watch any of the 'pictures' (youtube videos for everyone else) and didnt read any of the articles for another time I DID NOT CALL THAT 240 A HOT ROD, I CALLED THE PROCESS OF WHAT WAS BEING DONE TO IT MODERN HOT RODDING USING THE SAME PROCESS THAT GUYS IN THE 1950s DID
  17. so why does hot rod magazine feature cars from the 70s in there magazine and on there youtube channels and your missing the point by a mile not once have i called that 240 a hot rod
  18. you better tell the decades old Hot Rod magazine there doing it wrong as their featuring cars from the 50's 60's 70's and as time goes on the 80s will creep in and then the 90s http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/ In the 1950s hot rodders would Build 10-20 year old cars to go fast by fitting superchargers and larger engines, what are people doing now? people are taking 10-20 year old cars and fitting larger engines and super chargers In the 1950s hot rodders would paint the cars with flames and pin stripping etc to get attention, What are people doing now? people are putting cars low to floor and wide wheels with stretch tyres to get attention. In the 1950s hot rodders would take there cars to the street and race, What are people doings now ? People are taking cars out and drifting the street In the 1950s hot rodders would take there cars and meet up a drive in movies, What are people doing now ? People are taking there cars out and meeting in car parks. The Rules haven't changed just the machinery, Modern day hot Rodding, the same will happen in the future new words will come out to define the current subculture of the time but the essence is its will still be hot rodding taaking cars and making them faster and shout look at me from the paint and exhausts IM not calling the nissan a hot rod in the sense of tuned up american classic im calling the movement of whats happening in the current era modern day hot rodding as the same rules apply Looking at the below video although mustang the same formula from the earliest to the lastest rtr
