  1. Will let you know how it goes, once I get round to pinching someones socket set that is
  2. Honestly, If you're not looking for it, you wont see it. It's only a 25mm gromit. It's much less noticable that a great big rear wiper anyway. If you're thinking about doing it, do it, you won't regret it and wish you did it sooner - I promise . Yeah true! Was thinking that, it is a lot cleaner than the wiper being there I suppose Definitely going to do it, was only asking about the grommet becuase I was considering spraying the grommet to try and match the car (as I have a tin of Le Mans Blue anyway) but will probs end up looking worse that way. Might give both a go and see what looks best (onyl a 50p grommet I supppose )
  3. I like everything on that kit apart from the front bumper. Also i think the problem with going all out on a big kit like that first of all is it needs a load of supporting mods to pul it off. Needs to be lowered nicely with dishy wheels first to look right I think!
  4. There's a few screws to take out first, I can't remember how many but not many, maybe 6 which are all obvious, then like you say just pop them off. It can be a bit nerve racking, prying off the plastics as they need a good push. I used a large flat head screwdriver wrapped in a thick jumper, to try and reduce any sort of marking. So firstly, undo the screws, then get your fingers in there enough to get a large srew driver in and pop them out. Try to locate the clips though and get the screw driver as close to those as possible to reduce the pressure on the plastics as to not make them bend too much and after a little force they should just (rather loudly) 'pop' off. I manged to get all mine off without causing any damage to anything, or breaking any clips. It really is very simple. Great stuff, thanks very much! Gonna get hold of a plastic tool to get them off not to risk damaging paint I think! Hopefully all goes to plan then! The other thing I wasn't sure about is the blaxck grommet in the middle of the very blue boot panel! Do you think it looks odd on yours or is it not really noticeable?

    GAP Insurance

@Ekona, actually just found the asnwer to my own question, again on Which... What is return to invoice Gap insurance? Return to invoice Gap insurance will pay out the difference between the car insurance payout you receive, if you have an accident or your car is stolen and the original price you paid for the car on its invoice. For example, if you bought a Ford Fiesta Zetec for £13,995, but a year later had an accident and only received £10,000 from your car insurer, your return to invoice Gap insurance policy would pay the £3,995 difference. To me, that seems like a worthwhile thing to take out. Effectively if I wrote it off in 3 years and say the car was valued at £10k by my insurance then I would get £6k back from them??

    GAP Insurance

From what I've just read briefly on 'Which' RTI or Return to value is the one I want. The other 2 are for financed or brand new cars? With RTi, do you know if they pay the difference to make up what I orignially paid for it? That's what it seems to suggest?

    GAP Insurance

Right, this is much more complicated than I first thought. Basically then it's different for each situation. I have a personal loan, much less than the cars worth atm so doing rough sums in my head I dout the value of the car will ever be less than the amount on the loan. In this sense I guess it's not needed. However, if I was to write it off o the next few years and insurance were giving me much less than market value then it's still in my interest to have GAP as I should pocket a couple more pounds from them? For £83 for 2 years or £114 for 3 years I think it may be worth the money just in case?

    GAP Insurance

Does anyone have this on thier car? When I bought my 60 plate 370 from BMW the were adament I should get it even if I didn't take thier quote. Value is around £17k and just assumed I should get GAP insurance but some people are telling me otherwise. The dealer tried selling it to me but wanted £500 for 3 years, looking online I can get it from ALA (who everyone seem to reccomend) at £114 for 3 years so seems worth it to me. But is it needed on a used car or is it only really for brand new cars on finance?
  9. Car looks great! The best colour of course Quick question aboutthe de-wiper... want to do mine and just wndering how the boot plastics pop off? Do you just need to get a plastic tool under there an pry them off or is there some hidden access to the clips?
  10. Not sure if it's just all in my head or I'm still sitting used to the new car or maybe the road conditions atm but since pick up the new 370 I feel as though the steering is a bit 'skittish' - best way I can think of describing it. Could it possibly be something simple like tracking etc? Getting my spacers fitted tomorrow in my mates garage so will get him to have a look but just wondering if there's anything you would suggest him checking out?
  11. Cheers man! Yeah, chuffed with it!
  12. Cheers mate! You must have been paying a lot of attention to spot that but I see it now! Haha! Tbf, one of my favourite things is the little startup procedure with the Nissan logo fading across the screen and all the needless on the gauges doing a full rotation and back to start
  13. Oh and btw, there is a £15 delivery charge on top and if you ise the exchange option a £50 deposit which he refunds when he receives your standard wheel back!
  14. Josh said ... It was £120 for the retrim with half leather/alacantara and and extra £70 for the re-shape! Bargain IMO considering the cost of some of the Momo wheels which obviously don't retain your airbag and controls etc! Thats good value , looks superb too Yep! Great value, as far as I know it's always been very expensive to retrim a wheel but Jack seems to be the cheapest around and I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job!
  15. Website here; http://royalsteeringwheels.com
  16. Cheers all! Like I said, can't reccomend them enough! The company is called Royal Steering Wheels. Google them and give Jack a call or email. To be honest he's not all that quick at replying but if you call him and talk through exactly what you want and get him to send you a PayPal invoice he's very quick from payment to getting it sent out
  17. Won't regret it mate! Won't spend a much better £200
  18. New wheel turned up this morning and took it straight to my friend to fit it. More than chuffed with if, spot on for what I was looking for and looks completely OEM! The thickness is spot on, it's kept the shape of the thumb grips etc and you'd never know the flat bottom was a modification. Anyway, some pics of it.... So as I said, it's the standard 370 wheel that Royal retrimmed the putter but for me, top and bottom in smooth nappa leather, sides in grey alacantara, blue stitching and centre band and a flat bottom. Can't recdomend Jack at Royal enough! Amazing work and very quick and affordable too! My mats, spacers and led's all round are here ready to go in too!
  19. Tbf I ordered it before I picked the car up and I did so because I drove an M sport Z4 on the same day as a brief test drive of the Z and just remember the chunky and padded Z4 wheel being much nice to hold. The 370 wheel is a lot nicer than I remember from the test drive but still worth the upgrade hopefully! It was £120 for the retrim with half leather/alacantara and and extra £70 for the re-shape! Bargain IMO considering the cost of some of the Momo wheels which obviously don't retain your airbag and controls etc!
  20. If mine looks anything like the above tomorrow I'll be chuffed!
  21. Having said that, that juke wheel above looks like it might have the padding anyway Csnt wait to see mine now!
  22. Ahhh okay! I see how it works now! Yeah that's thr same picture he sent me, I've basically ordered the same thing expect with padding and blue stitching snd centre band!
  23. Hahaha! Love it! It definitely could have done more to blend in! Will do, was sent out today and should have it tomorrow so looking forward to it! Little worried though now I've been driving the car that the extra padding may make it too thick. Also, as he only sends the wheel and not the centre part, I'm not sure how the bottom spoke of the centre of the wheel will fit over the new flat bottom!
  24. Definitely! Just need the little presents for the car to arrive now and get them on along with the gifts you sent me
  25. I had the same issue, with my washer bottle.. But it "went away " after a few weeks and is yet to come back.. I am convinced it was when I put it in the garage after a few í ¼í½» and hit the lawnmowerí ½í¸† Ps my fave colour love it I'll be getting my friend who's a mechanic to look at it this week, maybe it is just a lose lead or something then! Fingers crossed an easy fix! If not, BMW will be paying for it! Haha!
