Guys the event is on but I dropped a massive ball yesterday not realising it was the same day as a classic car show my car is already entered in so I cannot do Brands. Feel free to organise directly. Many apologies. Martin

Guys. Can I have a heads up on the level of interest for the below event. If there is a sufficient response this week I will go ahead and book a club stand and publish details. Suggest we get a minimum of ten to justify my efforts to organise. Looks good to me. http://gojapan.co.uk/ Martin

I really don't think Nissan are sharp enough to notice a mod like this. I would be impressed if they did.
-
Have you done the GTR RED starter button mod. (Photo below is the stock) Changing my gear knob and the starter button swap were the first two things I did on mine.

I was pre warned the latest job may look a small one but is a pig to do. In my defiant mood I took it on. Removed the front cowl, took out the wiper motor which involved disconnecting all the linkage. Thank goodness for mobile phone cameras to take photos of what goes where for the refit. 50 years of being in situ for the parts was a challenge to remove and refit, Anyway after a good polish on the wheel, paint and a few new bolts she went back together this evening. Before and after photos below.

looking forward to see this in a couple of weeks when we meet up. Great project and awesome use of knowledge and skills. Full marks for taking this on.

contact zippypooz or look at his member trader offerings.

Personally I would remap in that situation but I am sure others will be along with their views too.
-
Stunning, classy, different and so well executed. Maximum points from me.
-
Refitted and I am pleased with the overall result. Polished her retaining bolts too. Onto the next project.

Well, it’s not perfect but I guess it is 50 years old and it should show some age. It’s finished and going back on tomorrow. Before and after photos of the rocker cover after it had a lesson on my bench polisher.

It's the passenger ejector seat button. Well known.
-
Good to see this again after so long. Thanks for sharing.
-
oh lord, started the rocker cover today, what a job that is. I reckon 6 hours work in that. Hoping to refit Sat if I have any fingers left.

One of the advantages of still working from home is that during your lunch hour you can knock a couple of small car restoration bits out Todays lunch hour was spent polishing my relay on my polishing wheel. She has gone from tainted 1971 relay to a shiny chrome one in 30 mins. Rocker cover is next at the weekend.

If they don't have a patent I'm going on Dragons Den with this just to see the reaction on Peter Jones face. I will ask for £200k for 5% of my business.

Great response Stu.
