All Looking for opinions on front lips. I fancy getting a Nismo carbon fibre front splitter lip 350Z 33n1. Does anyone have one fitted ?. If so I wouldnt mind knowing how good the fit is on the standard front bumper and seeing some pictures. Any thoughts or advice on alternatives that are good fits and not over stated would be appreciated.. Thanks Payco

Pazz Not sure where you are located but would be a good idea to come to tomorrows meet at the Grasshopper if possible. Payco

Ian You aren't the only Credit Manager at work today, I am in too although I will be sending them all home at 12.. TBH not a bad thing working (or should I say spending my morning on this site) as my back is killing me having spent 4 hours polishing my engine yesterday. Drove the Focus to work today without a soul in site. Have a great Christmas ALL. Payco

Just started to polish my engine bay today with my dremel !!!. I have a UK 06 coupe. I want to remove the cam covers to polish them and have a couple of questions I wouldnt mind some advice on before I do. There is a multi plug style connector on each cover, do i just pull the plug on these and have no other worries ?. Once the cam cover is off, is there anything in behind it I need to be aware of when I lift it off ?. I am slowly learning about basic mechanics and dont want to take on what looks like a simple job and F**k it up. Thanks again for all your responses in advance. Martin

Welcome mate. Few new owners coming on board around Sussex which is great news. I am in Wivelsfield Green, near Haywards Heath. Give me a shout if you are ever up my way. I am 9 months into ownership and modding. Very addictive.. Martin

Welcome mate. I am Wivelsfield Green, not sure exactly where you are in Sussex ?. Its a big old county. -
Hi I am in love with the 350Z. Owned mine since April this year having decided to park the TVR dream. Best decision I have ever made. The Z is awesome. I have started modding and got the bug. Been up to see Wasso in Birmingham who is a real star and engine polishing king. I live in Wivelsfield Green just south of Haywards Heath. Let me know if you want to pop down for a chat and i can take you out for a spin. My car is an 06 with 28,000 miles only. I have a carbon wrapped bonnet and mirrors, tinted windows, polished strut, carbon fibre rad panel, pop charger, bonnet dampers and am waiting for Wasso to finish polishing my plenum. Lots more planned as its work in progress. Happy hunting. Martin

Just canvassing for opinions from any of you who have a detector fitted in their Z. Which brand / model do you have fitted and in your opinion was it a good investment / gadget ?. Looking at maybe buying a Snooper 3zero and having it hard wired into the car. I am dont drive the car agressively and am not a careless driver but for the investment versus the cost of potentioal points/insurance increase thought it might be a good idea and another gadget for the car too. What do you all think ?.

Hadnt seen the video before, its absolutely cracked me up, brlliant. I already have a rear door fitted to my garage otherwise a side door onto the pathway adjacant to the garage would have been hillarious but with value and purpose.. Thanks all.

Thanks, i have a few options now thanks to you all again..

Thanks. Will attempt the carpet approach next weekend. Just torn between the risk of scraping her versus leaving her out....Would really like it tucked up in tha garage if I can. Will post the result next weekend..

Thanks. Early 1970's built bungalow.. Any builder worth their salt would have thought about 3.5 litre sports cars of the future and factored it in...

Hi guys, really cheesed off today. Sun was out so I dried the Z off all ready to put it away in the garage until the Spring. CTEK charger arrived Friday so everything was lined up. Had the Mrs guide me in to my single garage to ensure no scrapes but unfortunatley I couldnt get out of the car !!. No jokes please becuase I am really hacked off about this. Couldn't climb out the back of the car because i am not a 3ft acrobat and couldn't find away of getting out.. My dillema now I have calmed down is to remove the battery and put it in my empty garage on a trickle charge or leave the car on my private driveway and turn her over every week. Dont really want to drive it on the sh*tty roads in the Winter months. Can I have some views from you without any pops at my misfortune.. Thanks as always Martin

Thanks Chris, Will add one to my 2013 shopping list..

Thanks. I know what AH stands for just wasnt sure what the rating would be on a typical Z battery. Going to take the advice from Chris and get a XS 0.8. Thanks to everyone who replied again. Martin

All After some advice (again). Looking to purchase a ctek battery charger as recommended to keep the z battery charged up whilst garaged through the winter months. Not sure which one to buy so called ctek. They asked me to look up the AH rating as they said this was key to which charger was best for the job. I have looked on the battery and cannot for the life of me find this rating. Is the AH rating fairly standard on all z batteries ?. If it is can someone tell me what it is or better still let me know what CTEK charger you have if you have one for your z. Thanks as always Martin

Chris. Looks great.. How was the fitting process. Was it DIY or did you have it fitted proffessionaly ?. Interested to know if it was straight forward etc. What was the fixing process etc. Did you paint it ?. Martin

Thanks to Alex and all those that replied. Lady luck was shining on me. I took it to be checked out and we found a small nail that had gone through the sole of the tyre. £10 patch and a few extra quid for a drink fixed the issue. My weekend was somewhat cheaper than I feared it would be. I dont mind replacing worn tyres but this was one was hardly worn, would have been a painful pill to swallow if the tyre was to be thrown away. Thanks again ALL Martin

Alex Thanks. Will message you once I have had a look and know the extent of the damage. Regards Martin

Alex 350z so its looks like an expensive weekend unless she can be saved. Thanks for messaging back. Martin

Hi All Just got a call at work from the Mrs to say my offside rear tyre is flat on my Z parked at home. Can anyone tell me is the spare a full alloy on the zed or a "get me home" tyre. Planning to garage her in a couple of weeks for the winter and dont fancy spending out for a new tyre before the spring. I have a trip to Wasso in a couple of weeks and was hoping i might be able to drive it on the spare. Also hoping that there's not a a nasty nail in it and its saveable. Any responses this afternoon will help my anger management. Thanks Martin
