  1. Did it on a new Lexus IS200 in 2003 and a new Audi A4 cabriolet. Sold them both to friends on the understanding part of the payment was to pay the balloon off. Guess that’s a bit unusual but worked for me. You need to keep the car pretty spotless if you are going to hand It back and move into another car as they will penalise you on any imperfections. If you look at the depreciation on a new car versus the monthly payments the maths for me say do it and change up when the term finishes. Only downside is it never really feels like it’s totally your own car.
  2. Looks like Steve did. No bacon roll for him on our grill for breakfast ion the day.
  3. It’s a big decision Andy but it won’t go for a penny less than it’s truly worth. . It’s a labour of love and I would rather find something that is complete now. There is still work I want to do to it to get it to concours but it will mean the car being off the road for lengthy periods, money and time. I’ve concluded I would rather get a finished car and just enjoy it. I have developed my mechanical brain and knowledge of cars no end so it’s been a great experience. I will still be around to fulfil my club responsibilities if she does go. Have a great Euro trip with the boys. Will catch up when you return. Drive safely all. Martin
  4. Yep. Long story but I need to spend circa £15k to get it to where I really want it and if I can get what it’s worth which is 33-34k then I have close to 50k to get something else. And I have something very much in mind… Dont ask as not telling .👀😃 I truly love the car and it won’t go unless I get what it’s worth. Its cheap given what it is and where I have got it to. it’s the only one here in the UK on the road and arguably one of the best around . if you look at the prices of 240/260zs it’s a great price.
  5. Will be a south east pub lunch in October and I’m reinstating the quarterly south east meets…
  6. Steve lives in Lindfield so may well meet us when we meet up too. He will make what you want for you. He’s a wrapper by trade..
  7. Shout if you fancy meeting up this or next weekend. I’m in Wivelsfield Green buddy.
  8. No buddy. You could do what I do. Go buy yourself a weed spreader bottle with pump action from Argos or somewhere, fill it with water and use that. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/slredirect/picassoRedirect.html/ref=pa_sp_phone_search_atf_aps_sr_pg1_1?ie=UTF8&adId=A043688383J4ILGUXD9C&url=%2FAction-Bottle-Garden-Pressure-Sprayer%2Fdp%2FB07VJJ8K9P%2Fref%3Dmp_s_a_1_1_sspa%3Fcrid%3DOXXPGL47GDV0%26keywords%3Dweed%2Bbottle%2Bsprayer%26qid%3D1661449605%26sprefix%3Dweed%2Bbottle%2Caps%2C67%26sr%3D8-1-spons%26psc%3D1&qualifier=1661449605&id=8245134353841631&widgetName=sp_phone_search_atf
  9. Worth a stretch and an offer I would say . You could get a cheaper one and find yourself spending that to get it right easily. Just my advice
  10. Totally agree. This is the car to go and get. I don’t personally know the owner so I’m not doing anyone any favours but to me it’s a no brainier given your circumstances.
  11. Welcome .where are you based ?.Photos please 👀
  12. I know I’ve been converted to the classic side of motoring but get the right one and you will have a lot of fun, and make money for a change rather than lose it. You could get a nicely sorted 240z for £40k that will be worth £50k in two years time. Just a thought.. https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C752632
  13. Bigg Red stripped and rebuilt my Datsun 510 calipers recently with new pistons for £180 the pair. Did a tremendous job.
  14. I will duck out but FYI I arrange a quarterly meet and pub lunch for the South East region in my capacity as REO. Next one will be October FYI . Next one will be in Tandrdge but we use the Bolney Stage a fair bit. Martin
  15. There is an emergency boot release button under the rear strut brace buddy. As above it will only open 1/4 inch so you will need to put your hand under the lip, press the release button above the number plate and lift manually.
  16. Yes that’s correct. That’s fine but the NSX won’t be able to join our stand .
  17. Looks over populated and polluted. Not my cup of tea at all. Simply beautiful. What a location to live your life..
  18. Love this. My fav not zed car on this thread.🏆
  19. You could polish it to death with your dremel and polishing wheel like I did to my 350Z 10 years ago. Or hydro dip it like i did later on.
  20. Guildford , Connecticut. My wife’s family live across there and Brandford.
  21. Just got back from 2.5 weeks in North America and couldn’t find one Nissan dealer who had successfully got hold of the new zed. Massive production issues and very hard to find a main dealer who can get hold of one. I did see the new corvette which looked very Ferrari like and tasty. A couple of cars I did see although not that exciting.
  22. Yes guys. This is going ahead as per previous years. Sorry been away for two weeks and only just got back. You will only be allowed on the club stand IF you have put the club stand code as per my original post. Non Zeds wanting to attend can you please PM me as this is a club only event and we need to consider insurance, liability and of course our club rep. I’m am travelling from Hayward’s Heath so a couple of local cars are following me. I will share details of our ore show meet point at Brands nearer the time. Martin
