Checking gearbox oil level is easy enough - just undo the filler and try to put more in - if it flows straight back out, it's full! Don't really know much about Fly/Clutch noises and bedding in I'm afraid.. sorry.

This is normal, but everything else you described is not! Master Cylinder problem? Fluid overheating somehow?

Still don't understand why people like low owners? If a car is in good nick then it's in good nick - buy on condition and service history is what the message should be - why does 1 owner or 10 make a car any better or worse?

Just wire it direct to the battery and add your own fuse? You shouldn't really add more load to an existing circuit as you'll increase the draw and risk blowing the fuse. (Although saying that, a camera is probably very low power so it's probably ok in this case. I love giving clear advice! :-/)

Another +1 for Bilberry valet pro. Gets ALL the crap off, and it smells nice.

Part mod, part maintenance last weekend... Swapped out the plugs, which look like the originals, but it's only just ticked 70k so that's to be expected... Old and new side-by-side... Upgraded the standard Cats for hi-flows... they make a lovely noise around 2k-4k RPM when accelerating, but when cruising on the motorway I can barely hear them, which is exactly what I was after. Everything went to plan, but the higher flow on the HFCs seems to have upset the ECU and it's now a bit lumpy and/or hesitant on occasion, so it's booked in to see Jez at H-Dev for an UpRev in a week or two's time.

The sound quality's not very good (and my Mrs is using her hair dryer), but can you tell us what you've discounted so far? All the bolts are done up tight? W-Bracket thing near the cats is on properly? Exhaust hangers all ok? Pipework all sits properly and isn't moving around / banging under acceleration / cornering / braking? Tried wobbling the pipes while you're under the car to see if anything hits anything else? Had a look for any rub marks? All the heat shields ok? Not rubbing, or disintegrating?

I was with you all the way to "and do a bit of exercise" - - unless walking to the car counts???? Haha what about wearing no socks at all?! Or would that make things too light? "Light weight" from removing socks and "Light headed" from the resulting pong, are very different things!

You can probably do it on your insurance for £100 and no damage to your NCB? Check your policy and see what it says - there's quite a difference between the different providers I think unfortunately
