  1. Right, I've gone with the Milltek (full cat back).. It arrives Wednesday... No more blowing back-box for me!
  2. How big are you? I'm 6ft4 and I can only just fit in my mates S2... I'm now looking at a wide body westfield instead - similar BHP/Tonne, and costs less. (No roof tho!)
  3. I'm after a new exhaust for my 350z HR as the original has given up the ghost. I'd like something a little louder than standard (I have HFCs fitted already) and if it's lighter than standard and/or helps produce a few more ponies next time i get it remapped, all the better... Basically I'd like some roar when I put my foot down, but no drone when on the motorways which is where is spends most of its life. Also, I'm going on a 1week road-trip across Europe on Saturday 23rd August, so quick delivery is a must in order to get it fitted in time. I gather Scorpion and Cobra are popular, but I don't know anything about either so open to advice, or alternatives... Cheers, Richard
  4. Why did you lose your no claims? When I got rid of my comp car, I got them to issue a letter saying I'd not had any claims and the insurer was happy to accept that as a follow on to my last (5yr old) no claims cert, so I kept all my years...
  5. Scratch the mayday, it's off! Leg power... Laid width ways under it and pushed the tail pipe side ways with a leg - dead easy!! (After 2hrs, lol)
  6. The bolted one is at the front and the welded two are at the back. The bolted one is off which drops the front of the box towards the floor, but I'll be f****d if I can get either of the back two off... Wd40, breaker bar, screwdriver to try to prize the hanger over the lug, etc.. I just can't apply enough force and wiggle the screwdriver at the same time... And I'm not exactly weak, I think there's a knack and I'm missing it! The only way I think you can do it is by pushing the whole box backwards, but there's bumpers and crash bars in the way so you can't... Did you take your bumper off?! Anybody live near Didcot?
  7. Only one is bolted, the other two are welded and they're the ones I'm stuck on. Both tucked up under the bumper. I'd take a blow torch to them if I had spares! :-/ Note to self - don't swap exhaust on Thursday, when you're supposed to be driving to a stag do on Friday!
  8. How?! I've got the nuts off, but can't get it off the hangers... Any tips?
  9. I went with the Mrs last year. Reykjavik is great, not much more expensive than London really, lots of food, drinks, nice atmosphere, etc. We also went to see the geysers, the blue lagoon and some waterfalls, all good. Also spent a week bombing around the volcanic landscape on horseback for a week, but that's probably a bit specialist! :-p The landscape is awesome though, get out in to it if you can...
  10. Hardly hot-hatches, but if he likes his driving and has £10k to spend, why not look at a HR Zed or an older but more practical, E46 M3?
  11. Might help if you give people some idea about what you value you put on the golf? £££
  12. I did a road trip last year - e46 m3 blew an SMG pump fuse up a mountain pass. Took about 5hrs to get recovered. In the rain... Meanwhile the Z and a Lotus Elise were both fine.
  13. 'Good ones'? Do you know what's involved in changing gearbox oil and diff oil? 4 bolts! Undo fillers, undo drains, wait for oil to drain, redo drains, add oil, redo fillers. You hardly need to be an uber 350z specialist to manage that! Why not do it yourself?
  14. Nice carp. Impressive beard! I really should get back in to it...
  15. The day got worse before it got better... About an hour after I posted, the Lamb Chilli Massala awoke and decided it wanted out of me!
  16. I know it's a hard life, but I 'had' to go out with a supplier for dinner and drinks last night - didn't get to bed until 2:30 via all sorts of whiskey, rum, beer... Then up again at 7. Not looking forward to today. I'm never drinking again. Ever. Probably.
  17. "Special" ? What other brand new car has 5 seats, is practical, does 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds and costs 'only' £40k?
  18. It has been warm recently, which reduces viscosity which will reduce the oil pressure?...
  19. Can't you just cut it shorter and re-attach the end?
  20. For £265 inc shipping, you can buy just about every bush for the whole car! Veeeery tempting...
  21. Pics or it wont happen Slipped him a tenner - no photo though :-p
  22. Hi mate, PM LewisH - he's got one for sale... I just bought the backbox from him.
  23. RS6? XKR? Bentley Continental GT? AC Cobra Replica?
