  1. Where are teh steering wheel controls if it is a GT??? Does special edition mean you have to hold your phone to your head?
  2. Call me crazy, but I think that looks great, congrats. Loving the roof. Dunno wether to go carbon, plasti-dip or gloss black for my roof. Can I ask how much all the wrap cost?
  3. Here are the pictures of the underside, so can you explain where I would put the tape? as the diffuser is hollow Do I build it up with anything to the height of the edge or am I to put 3m tape around the edge that will touch the bumper?
  4. ebay prices have now gone through the roof, well done clown!
  5. It is only balancing on at that point, resting on the exhaust. I considered blending as an option but that is a permanent fixture then which I was trying to avoid. The spats are a consideration as well but that wouldn't be an option until I respray the front which is ages away really. The only other thing I'm thinking of doing black is the roof, I may also plasti-dip that part as well, but I think a gloss vinyl will work alot better as it will match up with the glass borders. I'm really 50/50 about putting it on at all now.
  6. Great purchase, got in early...they'll defo sell well on ebay for those who don't have a car All changes in store..cheapest you could do would be 10 x squash at £35 or cofee, or a mixture
  7. So here's the crack, I've been and now have 5 x 10p per litre vouchers that can be used up to 6/08 It isn't a bad deal, you get to choose from thh following: 1 box of fairy non bio @ £14 2 x 1.75l robinsons double strength @ £7 2 x Nescafe original @ £7 2 x Andrew gorgeous comfort quilts @ £10 any four of Beans 4 pack, large mayo, large salad cream, large tom ketchup. @ £9 I went for fairy, 4 x squash, 2x toilet paper and the any 4 deal (8 beans 1 salad and 1 tom) Total cost £46. I will now bleed my car dry and attempt to get £40 of redcued fuel but even if I don't I still will have had all of that lot for a NET £6-12 .... not bad They have upped the price of the products to compensate though. The washing powder is the normal price but things like the squash are around 33% more expensive than they should be. It is still a bargain though if you want it.
  8. Thanks for the tip on the tape, I'll take a photo of the inside of the unit as I may need to fabricate somewhere for the tape to apply to once I'm back from fleecing tesco of reduced fuel
  9. hahaha, no need to apologise, that is exactly what I was worried about and I want honest opinions. I think the concept of it being matt black plastidip will win firstly, but what about fixing? Like I said, I want to be able to remove it for this very reason, if I have it for a few months and realise I don't like it then I want to be able to remove it without trashing either the diffuser or the bumper Have my scared pants on as it is my first real mod....the ariel and bluetooth module don't count!
  10. I'd like to get out of tesco one day without spending over £35! I was previously using them for their spend over £50 for 5p off each litre. So shopping list is: beans toilet roll fairy washing powder squash coffee 12 cans of Stella... easy peasy
  11. I think my concern of having it another colour is that it will look to 'stuck on' I'm hoping that by keeping it matt or azure it will either look like it is part of the undertray or that it is part of the bumper if azure....
  12. Here they are photo shopped to matt black(ish)
  13. I normally pay 131p for super at the Tesco Extra near me, I'm heading over there this afternoon so I'll buy all 5 products and then go and fill up and tell you how I get on. I won't get to take full advantage of it as I need to do the fuel gauge fix as mine says it is empty yet I can only stick 55 litres in the thing. Still 55 litres at 50p per litre off is still £27.50 off!
  14. I purchased a rear diffuser a few weeks back and I'm not sure what to do. I'm not entirely sure that I'm happy with it and may sell it on here yet. Think i'm just scared of where I will end up with zeditis if I actually have it fitted. attached are a couple of pics of it balanced on. Was thinking of coating it in black plasti-dip short term and then getting it sprayed azure when I get the front bumper/bonnet redone. Also does anyone have experience of fitting this kind of thing, would appreciate and advice for what to use. In an ideal world I'd like to not fix through the bumper In case I ever wish to remove it.
  15. What about a Celica?? Either in T sport to stretch budget or standard for a little extra mpg http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 479365065/ http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 476761115/
  16. I think the Alfa is a great idea in the meantime, I've driven the 2l 156 in the past...great fun. you are due some car luck...it'll last
  17. that's a great piece of kit, it'll be interesting to see what times you post
  18. at first I though it looked alright, but as I scrolled down it made all of the cars it was attached to look like shopping trolleys....
  19. Did it again this morning and got the same results, I think i'm being fairly accurate with the consistancy that i'm getting in times. Anyone else going to have a pop?
  20. ph 7

    Bargain!

Congrats, looking at the listing does it screw into the stock spoiler??? I love the Strosek rear bumper...
  21. Parked on a drivewasy as I've been running around just looked nice from the quick glance I got of it
  22. Now when I got my 350 in with all the history and handbooks I had reprints of magazine articles from Japanese Performance and Autocar. The Autocar roadtest had figures for acceleration in gears which you probably all know ( ) but I'll write them anyway mph 6th 5th 4th 3rd 2nd 20-40 9.4 6.6 4.6 3.6 2.4 30-50 8.6 6.0 4.4 3.4 2.4 40-60 8.4 58 4.4 3.2 2.4 50-70 8.2 5.6 4.4 3.2 60-80 8.4 5.8 4.4 3.4 70-90 9.0 6.2 4.6 80-100 9.6 6.4 5.0 90-110 6.6 After clearing my CEL and reading the thread about the Rolling Road day and how dissapointed you can be on actual hp, I took the car out for a spin and thought I'd test my time in 4th from 40-60. 4th gear seemed the best choice given how uniform the 4th gear times are and would balance out any inacuracy in my speedo as it wouldn't matter if I was going 38-58 as it should still be 4.4 I used the onboard stopwatch to take readings as it is only 2 presses. I did 6 runs in total, 3 first were with my windows down and 3 with them up 4.65 4.63 4.67 4.42 4.44 4.45 Now I appreciate that there is alot of scope for tenths to be innacurate due to reaction times/road levels but that is what I got watching the speedo go up in a 20 mile per hour increment. Now, I'm really pleased with that result given the 174K miles my 04 has done and it is due its service...I was imagining far worse figures given that the figures would've come from a brand spanking new car. I was wondering what you guys get especially those of you who have dyno results. EDIT: Improve table layout
  23. Well, it is reset now so fingers crossed that is the end of it.
  24. As far as i'm aware, the powerflow is only cat back...the invoice that I have for it doesn't spell out exactly what parts were changed/installed but I'm pretty sure that the cats are stock. The exhaust was already install when I bought it. The only thing of note is that i was in 6th gear and my speed had dropped from 60 down to 30(just off throttle deceleration as there was stationary traffic in the distance I'd spotted) . I'd forgotten to change down and so as the traffic cleared i started to accelerate again and the the engine laboured for a few seconds before I spotted it and changed down...the light came on shortly after this...could be complete coincidence or did I upset the sensor? Only other details I can think of are that the engine was up to temperature and that I had just brimmed the tank (tesco 99).
