    For Sale: Y-Pipe

Dibs. Where are you based these days?
  2. I have 2 fronts in azure available. Both would require respraying anyway. You could give one of them a good home. Located in the midlands.

    Power Flow TIPs

After I polished them Not after I'd polished them
  4. Ouch, never realised it was so expensive on the fines. I think your car will still look good with a standard plate on it.
  5. Go back and read first post - in conditions where the temp is 10 degrees the winter tyre will not be as effective as a summer tyre. They are fantastic for when winter properly gets here but before weve even had a frost is a bit early TBH. You are preaching to the converted. Please check the 4th post where I highlighted the same thing. I haven't fit my winters yet for that same reason. They are all ready to go though,
  6. It isn't just for the snow that it the reason for me selecting winter rubber for both my Zed and my wife's Passat. It is stopping distances / avoiding behaviour traction in case of emergency. While I agree that most people will be fine it is the some people who aren't that I'm worried about. If an incident occurs in front of my wife, I want her to be in the best possible position to react and avoid anything, be that sharply turning or braking to a stop. I want that for her more than myself. When you consider that there isn't really a great cost in running winters as you don't have wear on your summers for 4-5 months so your tyre usage/costs stay pretty similar as you look at it over the years that you own the car I don't see why people dont. I picked up a set of steels for the Passat for £25 and the JDM alloys from keyser for a very reasonable price. The wheels have residual value so you never really lose out on them when you come to sell. What is the big catch for running winters....I don't see it The suitability of the car for the conditions seems irrelevent to me in the same way as when the met office state only drive if necessary. If I don't get to work I don't get paid....therefore it is necessary. Are you going to right off every FR car like BMW/Merc that is on the road as unsuitable? The suitablitity of the tyre makes the car suitable for the conditions. Without suitable tyres I can't even get out of my street which is why I previously used snow socks and even with snow socks on the car, the zed was composed to drive. This has been an issue for every rear wheel drive car I have owned. It would be much simpler if it was law to run winters during a period like they do in other countries.
  7. I always liked this video as a good explanation on the ideal temps Remember that this is based on all season vs winter. Summer tyres would be considerably worse

If it isn't a facelift then I have 2 front bumpers in azure that need prep and respray work anyway....must remember to list them on here this weekend with the skirts and other stuff I think you would be looking at more than £100 for the repsray of an entire front bumper

    Used LED rear lights

Not much less than new pricing. Honestly they are rare on second hand and even then you will need to beat all of us to it!
  10. Wired connections are much better than wireless for latency and throughput and is far more secure than wireless. To get the most from it you could use your pc to stream media all over your house to your consoles or other devices. Additionally you could use the cat5 for home automation in different rooms with the right controllers. You can also run power over cat5 to devices in remote areas without the need for electrical cabling, such as cctv There is a lot you can do with it. Just depends on if you have a real requirement.
  11. Your round trip could start from the lakez! What's another 400 miles.
  12. I have a pic somewhere of mid 40's. I reset it on the m6 50 mph section. I recently did stansted and back in mixed conditions and speeds and managed 31. Always surprises me how good a tourer the car is.
  13. frequently I get a bottle of water or similar that I have thrown into the passener footwell has ended up under the passenger seat under acceleration and I forget about it. A few days later and I'll get the flashing light. Retrieve any stuff from under the seat and wiggle all of the connections and then do the air bag reset Turn iginition on wait for air bag light to turn on, turn key off Turn iginition on wait for air bag light to turn on, turn key off Turn iginition on wait for air bag light to turn on, turn key off Turn iginition on wait for air bag light to turn on, turn key off Start car and it should come on for 6 seconds and then should stay off. Then cross your fingers
  14. Great news....in the diary it goes. It was a great weekend this year
  15. I think I paid £50 to my guy for the switch over recently.
  16. All tastes are different but it does look like he has driven backwards through halfords. The chrome finishing is awful, I'm guessing he/she has done it after puttingh the stereo in and realising it isn't flush anymore but the fact that the chrome doesn't line up with the cubby just looks odd. From the thickness I would say it is exterior chrome. The red seat belt pads offend me when they are paired with blue tyre valve caps
  17. Steering wheel looks tatty as well on the grip
  18. Import Not GT spec Cloth seats Seller can't spell tyres..... Plus the seat bolster makes it look like it has done a lot more than 79k Autotrader has similarly priced imports.
  19. Plus if you had changed down the gears to slow the car down via engine breaking then the cruise would have switched off anyway. At 60mph you could have changed into 2nd and the car would have slowed down rapidly. I appreiciate that this is all well and good saying this after the fact and it is always trerrible to hear about a dead zed. Will you be buying another as a replacement?
  20. I asked a similar question here not too long ago: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/76659-winter-tyre-questions-for-jdm-17-wheels/ Never really got an answer but my calcs showed that in order to keep the staggered effect and keep rolling radius similar was 215/55/17 Front and 225/55/17 Rear. I've recently got the correct sizes off ebay, be patient and they will show up, they are expensive as they are rarer. Just need to get them put on my JDM alloys now and then put those on my car. Now that the temps are hitting single digits I'll switch to winters.
  21. This is now stuck forever in my head
  22. It is a shame you haven't got one of these sunvisors to have a good look at up close. Would be great if you could develop a solution for the weird ones. Unless Bullet Magnet wanted to post you his spare for assesment???!!???!
