What have you done with yours? I'm really hoping all these bits go and work well together, looking forward to the result and the clock is ticking for May and it's a BIG job pulling these engines apart -
You should go for the AD08R's you wont regret it, they are the control tyre for the sprint class at World Time Attack for a reason. Yokohama changed compounds for the "R" to work better in the wet. These can't even be compared to high performance road tyres, If you're doing 3-4 track days a year these are the right for the job, you'll destroy even the best "road" tyres like MPSS on track where as AD08R will take the high temps and loads with no problem at all. Even in the wet they grip really well and more importantly they give up their grip really progressively and as a result on road they perform well too. The AO48 is a full on track tyre which is fine but probably a bit full on for daily/track use car such as yours and mine. As mentioned the "R" replaced the previous tyre so any stock you can find will be quite old now and probably best avoided for such a small cost and drop in performance.

Yeah about the noise!! I'm hoping its not too loud as track days will be a problem but I thought I'd see how it is after and may need a custom system to get the noise down if needs be Power wise, from reading all the stuff in the states seems 15-20HP is possible and looking at stock manifolds there's definitely gains to be had there. It will be getting remapped after I've finished but it's getting more than just the manifolds so wont know how much these add on their own. See the bottom of this link/page for a totally unbiased result of what these can do! http://www.ppeengineering.com/products/nissan/350Z.php -
I know we've not had the smoothest of dealings recently but I'm sorry to see this Adrian, fire really is horrible, hope you manage to get things sorted out swiftly. Thankfully everyone was safe

Looks like it would do the job. I'm gonna see how I get one and then might have a custom y pipe made with larger baffle in it v-banded at each end so I can swap out for cat at MOT time, only if I need to though. Had that on my old Evo5 center section and it was perfect -

Would think that sounds about right but when you're charging dealer rates per hour what's the rush!! I've got so much to do before these go on anyway that I'll be enjoying those last 5 hours of work on the car to finish it all off -

Yeah I'm a bit concerned about what effect they're gonna have on volume. At the moment I have no trouble on trackdays with art pipes, xyz y pipe with baffled section and tanabe system so we will see. I'm booked on for Anglesey may bank holiday so I'll be finding out my static and drive by db then and I can let you know -

Will do. I'll be doing all the bits over the next couple of months and they'll be the last bit going on but I already can't wait to bolt them up. -

That's good going for your first visit. I take it you've got the bug and it'll be an annual event from now on? What camera you using? I either captures a lot more sound than mine or your car is a lot louder than mine! Tyres don't stay cold for long on the 'ring mate but any traffic is annoying. Would've been good to get a 100% clear run just to set a lap time. My clearest run (from my first vid) was sadly the 2nd lap of the day but at 9min30sec (9min ish BTG) I was happy but then I got a lot faster but never on such a clear lap and just lifting and moving off line for a few fast boys all adds up. I recon with all my best sectors stitched together there was a sub 9min lap to be had. All my vids are on youtube channel butcher350 if people are interested My car has stock engine and exhaust. I'm using GoPro Silver 3+ (open back plastic case). The tires are hard compound semislicks and work best when really warmed up after one lap. I'll be attacking 8:30 BTG next year! I just need to dial out corner entry oversteer - the back wants to step out too much, especially in left hand corners. On semi slicks (888's, AO48's etc) I'd say that time is very doable. It doesn't look from your vid that you pull the VDC fuse to stop traction control or ABS cutting in? If not that's well worth doing on track. I'd say its either too hard rear springs or tyre temps getting too high given the oversteer? -

Its actually the most horrible part of the lap cos its so so rough but it does make a great and very iconic pic! Cars about an inch off the ground when dropping in -

Hope the weather held out and you had a great time on track today? It is so much more awesome than anyone can tell you isn't it? I really enjoyed driving with my new seats in, was so nice to not have my knees jammed in the door n dash to stay in front of the steering wheel!! -

Be great to get a group together to go over. Don't think I can afford 3/4 visits but I'll keep you posted which date we book up in 2017. Depending on what I get up to over the winter it might be a bit faster for next time too Here's another vid. Not the clearest run as it starts just after a yellow flag which bunches everyone up but the middle section is a pretty good run -

Cheers, was a great day. The main straight is just over 140mph as its quite uphill and although I tried thats as quick as it wanted to go, but from Flugplatz that section is quite down hill so you get to just under that, 135mphish (obviously not really looking at the speedo too much while going round) there but then theres a few 120mph corners in there too so its a very fast circuit and there's definitely more time I could've taken off round there too but its not a 10/10ths place when you've got to drive home the next day, its best to give it 8-9 and just enjoy yourself, I already can't wait to go next year! -

Thanks! To be honest that was our clearest lap by some margin but it was only our 2nd lap of the day and I think the race cars were still being warmed up! Just nice you can just drive your line and enjoy the place more without worrying about bikes etc. For example the DN day ran super smooth all day with only 3 short red flags to recover cars that had broken down. The day ended at 5 the circuit reopened for the Tourist session and withing 20mins it was red flagged with a totalled E90 M3 and the occupants off in an ambulance!! -

Cheers! The playstation is actually really good to learn the circuit, just where it goes left and right but it just can't give you the bumps, cambers and crests that have the car light and sliding or the compression at 120mph that have your head on your lap and the car bottomed out etc, it is so full on and you're always aware of the no margin for error!! But what a buzz what a track -

Bet thats really nice with 320 bhp, I like the "yet" on the build. This will be our 3rd trip with http://www.destinati...urburgring.com/ and I highly recommend them, Darren and the team organise the days really well with the right focus on the bits that matter to give you the best experience (I should work in their marketing) its the best fun and safest you'll ever get there in my opinion. The tourist sessions always scared me with everything from buses to motorbikes and race cars going round together. Its not the cheapest and obviously you take the rough with the smooth with the weather but its worth it I think. Its full open pit lane, full lap not BTG and a really great day..............especially if its dry and sunny!!
