  1. Ended up leaving Manchester at around 1.30pm in the end, taking 5 hours to get home with traffic on the M6, M40 and M25 But, the car was once again faultless and I arrived home without a single pain or any tiredness Things I've learnt from the last few days: 1. The M62 summit (UK's highest motorway) has some great scenery! 2. The Zed is very comfy on a long ride (568mile round trip) 3. The Zed is quite economical on long journeys - I averaged 32.2mpg and that was with sitting in lots of traffic today. I used 1 tank and just under another quarter. I reckon I could easily get 500miles to tank on a clear run 4. Lot's of people like my purple wheels numerous thumbs up and smiles as people were alongside the car in traffic 5. Don't try chasing a Lambo Gallardo...they're fast but I'm louder 6. Multi-story car parks are not my friend! Lots of scraping the front bumper coming down the ramps Saw 2 Zed's, 1 Azure going North on the M6 at around 2.45pm and an import in the traffic on the M25 at around 5pm. Also saw a black 370z who had a good look at the car before overtaking me She's enjoyed her trip I think, now she's all tucked up for the night, ready for a rolling road day and some tweaks tomorrow
  2. Not sure yet Mike. Might be heading up to Blackpool to see a lady friend of mine. If not I'll be leaving around 3ish About to go into a meeting so will update in a couple of hours
  3. Pffft I doubt this thing has anything decent....just use the internet if I want that
  4. My job has me travelling here there and everywhere at the moment, but I usually get a train booked through work as it's quicker, easier and I don't rack up miles on the Zed which is a weekend car really But I arranged a few meetings that are in and around Leeds/Manchester, some of which are miles from train stations so I thought I'd take the Zed for a nice cruise over the next few days Started off at 6am this morning, leaving Croydon to travel up to Leeds town center. A distance of 224 miles. With minimal traffic around, the Zed cruised it all the way without any faults, hiccups or anything. It really is a great cruiser stuck the cruise control onto 70mph and the journey flew by with me making it to Leeds in 3 hours and 24mins, with the trip computer showing an average speed of 58mph (few miles of town driving obviously) and an average of 34.2mpg! Very pleased with that She's tucked up in the underground car park for now until I go over to Manchester tomorrow, about 50miles away, before heading home again tomorrow evening. A round trip of over 500miles On exactly half a tank at the moment with 236miles on the odometer....can we make it home on the same tank?! Bored in the hotel room so thought I'd share what I'm up to the TV is crap, doesn't get Dave or BBC3...so no Top Gear of Family Guy that i'd usually watch before going to bed oooh wait, what's this?! SCARFACE on ITV4 my night sorted! Updates tomorrow

  6. Apologies for being blunt, but I think you're talking out of your arse Insurance companies will do ANYTHING to avoid paying out. Not notifying them of your modifications, no matter how you can argue whether or not they contribute to an accident, will result in them making your insurance VOID You may think you're a good driver and can avoid an accident, but what if someone goes into the back of you or another situation which is completely beyond your control?
  7. No argument about it You crash, don't claim your modifications, your insurance is void and you'll get reported for driving without insurance
  8. I can imagine how that conversation started: "Hey John, got anything in purple?" Actually, he PM'd me saying that they're working on a set of purple coolant hoses so nerrr
  9. John says it will be on the UK market shortly from my discussion with him
  10. Shhhhhh! no way! Keep me updated as usual
  11. Cheers buddy need to redo all the links at the start of the thread Big plans for this year
  12. Just to clarify DIBS!!!! Gimme a shout once you're sorted, thanks Ian Now, just a plenum to source....
  13. Sorry, I'm tired Nismo V2 on the front....we shall see how that goes
  14. Sorry, I'm tired Nismo V2 on the front....we shall see how that goes
  15. Nah it's just gonna be a JDM rear with Nismo spats. I like the square number plate recess for some reason
  16. Rear needs to go down a tad, then I'll be happy The new front bumper, side skirts and Nismo spats should set the look off nicely when I get round to the bodywork
  17. Dunno mate, all depends on so many things. Only way to find out is to try it and see what you think Cheers Shaun
  18. Ye she's fine, just a large scuff on the plastic splitter under the bumper, can't be seen unless you're under the car though Wheels are 8.5J front, 9.5J rear ET 22 all round mate, 19" 235/35/19 on front, 255/35/19 on the back Not sure of the drop on the coilovers, but the back needs to go down another 10mm or so I think, will see what I think with the spacers on I've got camber arms front and back, running -0.5 on the rear and -2 on the front but the front are at maximum adjustment due to the lowness of the car. So that's the minimum amount of negative camber I can run at the moment hopefully the new drop links will help out
  19. Cheers Buster, I reckon the spacers will make a world of difference to the looks as well
  20. Ta loving them more and more, certainly get a lot of attention as I drive around Cheers Will The big bumps that go across the whole road are usually OK if you take them slow, the single humps I just avoid at all costs
  21. Bought a few bits for it over the last few days, just waiting for delivery: - Adjustable drop links which will help with more lows and better adjustments for handling - 10mm spacers all round - Nismo rear bumper spats, won't go on the car for a while until I get my new rear bumper Scraping on speed bumps Finally managed to give it a good clean as well: Nice shiney exhaust And then found a well lit car park for some nice shots
