  1. My god these cars look great a snip lower, with spacers and lips.
  2. I have a daily 370Z, that I track as much as time/money/tyres allows. Which is about 4 times a year I suppose. Normally one in Europe (Spa + few ring trips) then 3 UK based circuits. To try and put an answer to your question I say this; For the remaining time you'll not be on track and driving here and there, I think the 370Z with is wafty engine and better interior would be a more pleasant place to be than the GT/BRZ. I odn;t wear rose glasses either the 370Z is a million miles away from a perfect car or even my perfect car but I do like it. I don't like another car out there in my price bracket at the moment enough to go through the ass ache of changing it. I came out of a £5K car on aftermarket coilovers(Ekona ) that I used to track and after 3 years I got sick of looking like a dweeb on the road and climbing in and out of it, I wanted a car I could drive on track and not a track car to drive on a road. That probably helps you nothing but I felt I was placed to comment.
  3. I promise, this will be great. Promise x x x.
  4. Again, not something I'd ever attempt myself but I had a K100 ECU on my CTR, which is just a piggy back chip soldered onto the OEM ECU. Might be a bit more difficult on Toyota's mind .
  5. Unless you're into data logging and the like, or handy with adjusting your own stuff (not me) I don't see the problem with running fix or modified OEM ECU's. I only went AEM as one came up cheap so I pounced, as that was very OTT for what I needed.
  6. Cool, what sort of options are there for ECU's in these ?? I had a AEM EMS system in my S2000 and even though my Honda was NA the options and usability of it was brilliant.
  7. Destiny will be an epic game I promise.
  8. Hey man, sorry for the old work but what spray did you use to do this ?? Also, just to be clear you left in situ didn't you, just tapped up the lines and removed the callipers and pads from the rota ?
  9. I remember those days. Damn annoying days.
  10. Ha, I honestly didn't know about this. Clutch feel on the '70 is vague at best, hopefully this will give a more attached 'feel'. I will be doing this. 370Ad - Did you replace the spring or just take it out completely ?
  11. I tended to agree with that to be honest. Then I was told that now that tyre has a weak spot and once under heavy load and in conditions where the tyre was once designed to perform, it is now compromised and if it fails is very likely to fail at that spot. Up to you really I suppose. I swapped out the offending tyre shortly after that and some scenario processing.
  12. I got murdered by you lot for posting a picture of my '70 like this about a year ago. It was in the "I park like a ****" thread, lol. My further details about it being miles away from the entrance, on a Sunday, when it was closed mattered not. Ricey was particularly kind to me about it. Offending picture.
  13. Car looks great fella. Manage to get any better shots of it side on ?? Those sills looks damn good.
  14. You've really done your research. My point still stands thought. I buy a Nismo car, I want Nismo parts on it where available please. Doesn't have to be down to sump plugs and piston rings but the obvious, common Nismo extra's at least.
  15. There are times where I long for an auto it has to be said, those times tend to be in and around town or just getting about. The 370Z can feel like a big old BBW at times.

If the MKII comes out and is priced to be a success (which it will hopefully be) I'll swooping to grab a MKI bargain.
  17. Yeah, hard one, really down to personal preference but I'll just leave this here; The auto isn't double clutch, so it's never going to set the world alight in terms of performance, that was enough for me to stop considering it there The syncro-rev gear box gimmick is great and works outstanding well on the road and on track, couple that with a proper exhaust and it's so much fun With those two points there (albeit that the auto has the syncro rev also) having the elbow and foot manual control over the gearbox and lack of DCT, I'd recommend manual over the auto box for the enthusiastic driver, wanna be '70 owner.

That silver and black looks great.
  19. Careful when polishing the tips guys, I managed to "polish off" some the burn on mine .
  20. You work for Ford. You get 25% discount off all new cars. You buy the brand new Fiesta ST fully loaded, top of the range car for that mark. £20'000 is list price say. You get it for £15'000 with your discount. Don't use it much, just potter around in it. Own it for 6 months of registration then sell it for, with little milage for £17'000. Easy £2000 in 6 months. I used to know someone who used to do this exact thing, every 6 months with whatever the newsiest Fiesta or Focus was.
  21. Mate. You and this car .
