There's a few screws to take out first, I can't remember how many but not many, maybe 6 which are all obvious, then like you say just pop them off.
It can be a bit nerve racking, prying off the plastics as they need a good push.
I used a large flat head screwdriver wrapped in a thick jumper, to try and reduce any sort of marking.
So firstly, undo the screws, then get your fingers in there enough to get a large srew driver in and pop them out.
Try to locate the clips though and get the screw driver as close to those as possible to reduce the pressure on the plastics as to not make them bend too much and after a little force they should just (rather loudly) 'pop' off.
I manged to get all mine off without causing any damage to anything, or breaking any clips.
It really is very simple.
