Wow they should have covered the insurance - in which case it wouldnt have been as bad as you'd be whacking miles on their new beemer instead of yours...
After looking a bit closer - there are 3 bars across the pre 06 grill too, only 2 bars on the post 06. I hadn't even noticed they were different apart from the reflectors!
The grill seems to be slightly different on my model to the ones in that thread? There seems to be a cut-out/indent for what I guess is the JDM number plate?
Not a fan of the zunsport grills to be honest, looks a bit too 'old school'.
Thanks for that Alex - having not taking the front bumper off yet, how easy is it to remove the existing grill pieces?
EDIT: never mind just seen page 2
When I first got my car I had a look for some aftermarket 'honeycomb' grills to replace the standard one - a year later and I've still not seen any, has anyone seen any for sale or know where I could find one? Or would it have to be a DIY job?
I'm thinking it would look like the Audi RS models, like the below image... I will attempt to photoshop when I get back home, unless someone better than me wants to try?
I have always filled up with momentum99 but I do wonder how much of the advertising of the 'premium' fuels is just bullshit; oh well...*goes and buys Nitro+*
They look and sound great - lets just hope people fork out the money for them because they look amazing, as logically everyone 'should' go for a cayman or boxster
Well out of my price range but can't wait to hear some of these on the road. Might even say that the V6 model sounds nicer than the zed (which was by far my favourite V6 I'd heard until now) The base V6 model pushes out about the same horsepower as the 370z, but is about £30,000 more! The V8 is almost 500bhp. Very nice car though - hopefully there will be one at goodwood
Thanks for the input guys, thinking I might just go for all 4 MPSS - dubious about the £5 MoT though zroar, can imagine they will fleece you on parts if you only pay £5 for the MoT
I'd be buying 2 fronts first (as my rears still have about 4.5mm left) so i'd be mismatched for a couple of months. I'm guessing unless I decide to go racing this wouldn't be the biggest issue?
edit: i'm happy buying the MPSS if they are noticably better; ashame there is no way to try tyre before you buy
I was ready to say no... until I saw the picture! Actually looks really good, quite subtle but quite nice.
edit: oops looks like my vote made it go 50/50 again! haha
First of all, im currently running 4x RE050a's and cannot fault them - they've been great in the dry, wet, cold; but obviously I have nothing to compare against, and they're the 2nd most expensive tyre for the zed.
After researching a bit here and around the web, I see...
ekona raves about the Michelin Pilot Super Sports (about the same price as the RE050a's)
Good reviews of the Falken 453s (about £30 cheaper per tyre)
My question was, my old Audi came with Dunlop Sportmaxx tyres which I found very good - I haven't seen many/any reviews of these tyres on the zed, and they come in a bit cheaper than the falkens. Anyone have any opinions on them?
