  1. Looking for some info on the standard oil pressure sensor on the DE. Is it's sole use for the gauge display? Or does it control the vdc timing aswell? I no longer have any standard gauges and would like to do away with the sensor and use the hole for my own sensor but I don't want to affect the running of the engine. Ps I know about the other sensor hole that can be used
  2. Ahhh only just seen your reply. I've just spent 140 for it from z1 motorsport but it comes with all the gaskets aswell so I suppose it's not too bad :/
  3. I'm in the process of doing mine but on a complete rebuild. Can I ask where you got the oring set? I've been struggling trying to individually source each 1
  4. I know it seemed to drag in at the end! It's the next size down, can't remember the size off the top of my head. I measured it cause i did think about changing it for the smallest one but wasn't sure if that would be pushing it too much too soon. They are 600cc but were a total pain to get the fueling sorted. The fueling chart was almost the polar opposite compared to normal. Chris smoothed it all out tho. I'll stick with 405 and just keep ontop of the maintenance. Slippy slope chasing numbers haha. How's yours coming along? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk It always does man haha. I think it's the 3.12 pulley you have as the next 1 down is the smallest at 2.87.aye chris is really good and if it can be fixed he will fix it. Mine is booked into him at the start of July. Getting there with my build, started doing all the timing stuff last night but it's hard on my brain trying to work it all out haha. I'm hoping to have the engine built by the end of next week. Ive got a drift competition on the 8th of July so I need to get my finger out haha
  5. Awesome man glad you've finally got some decent power! Is that the 3.12 pulley? What's up with the injectors? Il be selling a set of 600s at the start of July if your needing a set as I'm going for 1000cc.405 at the wheels is decent, that's what mine had with the shotguns on it
  6. I just got new Nissan timing chains and tensioners from Clark motorsport, genuine oem parts. Only place I've seen them
  7. Cheers dude much appreciated just drop us a pm if you find it
  8. Has anyone got a 2.87 vortech pulley spare? Need it in the next 3 weeks if possible. Cheers
  9. Cant say i have seen anything about the VQ crank being specially coated, it could be Nitrided but most forms wont preclude grinding, yes a decent engineering company that is used to crank grinding will grind the journal to the tolerances for the manufactured oversize bearing, which means it will fit and have the correct crush tolerance when fitted without ever having to use plastiguage or similar. I can't quite remember what the reason was tbh, maybe I've misunderstood or they were talking about wear on the block that holds the bearings or something, either way I'm just glad my crank wasn't worn
  10. I've heard that the crank on a vq can't be reground because of the material it's coated in? Worth reading into. I took my bottom end into the engineering company and they measured and ordered the bearings for me. I think nissan have 7 or 8 different size bearings to choose from but not sure how big they go.
  11. He's the only guy we can use in Scotland 😂 Not just for the z but for my other cars too and alot of my mates cars. But aye as far as uprev goes he's the only one in scotland to do it lol
  12. Good to know. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm not sure how easy they are to do tho lol
  13. Chris is brilliant! Only guy I go to in scotland!
  14. Well If your looking for something to do I've got valves to be reground and fitted? I know the feeling tho man, I've got to get mine built, run in and mapped before a competition the start of July, the stress is mega haha
  15. That's gona look awesome gary! Absolutely love it already.
  16. It will be fine. Gears crunching can be caused by wrong oil in the gearbox not the diff. Did you use nissan diff oil?
  17. Let us know what you find out chris. I usually flush it through with new supercharger oil but it's not the best cost wise
  18. I've used these coilovers for 3 years now and they are excellent! Was originally on a supercharged road car and can be setup with comfort in mind and are not crashy or bouncy. I've been using them for the last year and a half now on my drift car and again they have been faultless.never had any issues with them whatsoever. I'd say the build quality was alot better than HSDs and bc etc and at that price cheaper too
  19. Good progress man! Remember I'm like 10 mins from you if you need a hand or info at any point just give me a shout. Had pretty much the same issues as you've had in the past lol.
