my oem sump has a little rusty bit on it so I thought instead of just replacing it I would upgrade. also I wouldn't want to be welding stuff into my sump as id probably make an arse of it . I did think of that though. probably still better than the japspeed one . im looking forward to my passenger ride. its going to be awesome!

hi folks, im just having a look for different, bigger baffled oil pans for the VQ and there doesn't seem to be a lot on offer or im not looking in the right places. the japspeed one is cheap and looks ok but just don't trust the companys products after previous bad experience. the HKS is about £1200 which is ridiculous. can anyone recommend any and where to find them. cheers

I might take my car on for a little fun once its mapped. give us a shout the next time your going up and il try make an appearance. and bizz definetly put up when you are going as id love to see this beast in the flesh £3 entry, saw 2 crashes, one of which saw the full back end of a bmw wrecked. Their was a lexus sorar going around with what looked like the suspension from a lorry, couldn't get it to drift and resulted in the car going on fire! So was probably the best £3 I've ever spent lol Hope your still going on the 25th Steve ! awesome. I think the newer stuff is made cheaper to be honest. I had my stuff about 4 years ago and it was all decent. My decats have been perfect and they're subjected to some serious heat to be fair. I think the quality is maybe declining I think they buy it cheap from china and sell it on in their name. to be honest I got my replacement unsilenced decats and had them on the car for about 3 months now and their still ok and their heat wrapped, that's probably whats holding them together . ill see how the cope with around 400hp as thatl be a good bit more heat

im the opposite, as in my build thread everything ive ever bought from japspeed has cracked or snapped within a few months (K1 lasted 6 weeks before it snapped!). the exhaust sat on the W brace on the car and the tailpipe rested on the bumper. I found the noise unbearably loud but then I had a bigger unsilenced y pipe and decats. maybe if you leave the cats in it brings it down to a reasonable level. il never know as id never waste anymore money on japspeed products. I don't know how they survive as a company to be honest

I see what you mean, im not very keen on the lip either. the exhaust cut out looks brilliant. Is that what youre going for with the chargespeed? Yup I was going to ditch the chargespeed all together, but the ings I saw in the flesh and just didn't feel it. So a custom Chargespeed with cutout just seemed logical. that should look brilliant. cant wait to see the finished result, then the v8!

I think that would be a fair deal with the amount of work in it, and it looks a lot better than a kinetix plenum. the cossie plenum polished would look sweet

good work. what oil pan have you got fitted?

what is that back bumper? it looks awesome and the exhausts look great too. are they the hks?

haha cheers ian. I know the plenum needs sanded back down to get rid of some of the scratch marks but I just haven't got the time. its not just that, you then have to sand it about a million times with different grades and its just so much effort to get the shine. I take my hat off to you mate
