Which one am I? Nice to see you again Darren Wallet not so happy - Wife's Happy and her roadster SC project parts collection is getting very close to complete is that where my oil cooler went then?
-
the HR engine is stronger and can handle more torque than the DE engine so therefore it would be the better one to turbocharge. if your planning on going for forged internals I don't think it would matter between the two

I would of wrecked the bikes personally and left them in the road. Folk like this drive me insane!

Knowing people on this forum - you might want to clarify that I didn't meet you at the hotel yeah it was good to meet you mate and im sorry to hear about your problems aswell. and just to clarify, when I went into my hotel room, vlad was lying on a bed of roses waiting for me  yeah I had read previous posts about them and thought, mines are fine and ive never had any issues with them

so time for an update, I started my week long trip to abbey on the Monday stopping for a few days in Hartlepool to visit some family. well 2 days before I left I curbed my new back alloy at burger king drive through (should of stuck to my diet!) anyway that night i had my mate in the car and he didn't shut the door fully so when i locked it it didn't lock his door, so when i came back to the car someone had been through it and the door was lying wide open and so was the boot, the little shits had stole my new ipod and some other stuff! so not a good start. well the trip to Hartlepool went fine with no issues and so did my 2 days there.my car was booked in for the mapping on the Thursday so we left for a hotel in surrey on the Wednesday. i went to the local tescos in Hartlepool and brimmed the tank with momentum 99, went in and paid for it and came out to a massive pool of fuel under the car and it was just pouring out from the tank, sh1t!. i went into tescos car park and took out the subwoofer behind the seat to find an o ring had failed on the return fuel line. Wasting no time i drove to Halfords and bought an assortment of sealing washers, went to my auntys house and began the fix. when i took off the top of the tank there was that much fuel bursting out and all over the road, i thought my car was going to burst into flames at any moment . there is an o ring sealing the top of the tank that you cant get fuel on or it will expand, well i dropped it to the bottom of the tank and had to put my arm into the fuel to get it back, it went massive! . once the leak was fixed i was putting it back together but couldn't get the oring in as it was just far too big. I tried cleaning it, then freezing it and using lots of grease but it just wasn't enough so i ended up just cutting it and squeezing it in and its sealing ok until i get a new one. i also lost one of the little screws that hold the top of the tank down . so an hour and a half after first setting off we were on the road again. we got down to the hotel about 20.30 that night, had a few beers then an early night. We set off at 7am the next day as we had to be at abbey for 08.30. i got about a mile down the road when i realised the steering felt funny so i pulled over...... that was my other new alloy knackerd! . so i get the spare wheel out and the thing to get the wheel nuts off only to find it doesn't fit over the d1 wheelnuts . luckily i had a tool kit with me i thought, got a big socket out and it fitted them perfectly but the people who fitted the tyres must of used an airgun to put them on and over tightened them! i snapped an extension bar and another bar trying to get them off and twisted a wheel nut! so ive no choice but to phone my breakdown cover, an hour later the lorry comes but tells me he can only take me to kwik fit but not as far as abbey so i thought well if anyone can deal with this it will be the wheel and tyre specialists surely? well they didn't have a clue what to do but tried brute force and left me with this... so i got them to try and put air into the tyre to see how bad the puncture was and they managed that and guess what, there was no bloody puncture! so someone must of let my tyre down .Anyway i was just happy to be back on the road and heading to abbey finally. well i finally got there about 1pm and they wasted no time and got it hooked upto the dyno while i was getting a free can of juice from the office . while we were waiting on mark doing the tuning we got the abbey micra to go and get some lunch (unfortunately it didn't have an RB26 in it ) when we came back i could hear my car on the dyno and it was the first time id heard it rev over 4krpm in months and couldn't keep the smile off my face . After a little while mark asked if i want to see it on the dyno doing some power runs and i couldn't say no, it was so loud but sounded so good. it managed 408.9hp at the hubs which im well pleased with . After that it was into the workshop next door to get the wheel nuts removed. the mechanic managed to get them all off bar the snapped one which he then had to drill out the stud. he put a new stud in and i bought new internal drive black wheel nuts from abbey and they are steel this time so hopefully will never have that trouble again. lesson learned, do not buy D1 wheel nuts! when i left abbey it was pouring with rain so didn't get much chance to fully test the new power but it dried up a bit on the way to leamington spa so gave it a blast and its unbelievable in the high revs! iv had a fast evo before this and driven some other fast cars but the way this delivers the power is completely different. i love it and the sound it makes is brilliant and everyone turns round as if they are about to witness a jet taking off . i stopped in at leamington spa after abbey and got a hotel there so i could meet up with vlad. leamington spa didn't know what hit it when there were two supercharged 350zs blasting about its streets . the next day we left leamington at 6am and headed back to Hartlepool to drop my dad off then straight back to scotland because i had a date that night . it would be safe to say that i didn't have much interest in the girl as all i could think about was driving the car again . So its been mapped a week and ive just had to put 2 new MPSS tyres on the back as the falken 452s are floating about the atmosphere in their own little clouds. Anyway a big thank you to Abbey motorsport, keyser, vlad, Bennett and everyone else who helped me along the way and it wouldn't of been possible without this forum. im a very happy man now that i have my car up and running properly again. Put the bad times behind me and make the future great!

thanks for all the comments guy. The cars awesome! its like stock til about 3.5k RPM then it just goes crazy and keeps pushing harder and harder til you hit the redline then change up and it all happens again. you really notice it in 3rd and 4th when you jump way past 100 in no time at all. ive surprised a few evos when they go to leave me in their dust and I pull out and pass them . had a few problems so il just go and write them up on my build thread. oh and bizz you can have a shot of it as long as you give me a shot of yours when its done -
Thanks pete. Its so annoying when the enter button doesnt work

ouch. ive seen people writing about not buying fibreglass bumpers and this is why lol. it looks bad but it should be able to get repaired. only thing is that its more money spent

just a big thank you to the guys at Abbey for accommodating me when everything seemed to go wrong on the way there, I was hours late for mapping but they still got the job done and managed to drill out my crappy D1 wheel nuts and get me back on the road. I will update my build thread with the details of all my problems on the road trip later but for now a big big thanks to the whole team and for such a warm welcome
