  2. you better hope he finds it before he really starts digging!
  3. i had the fund for the wedding and blew it supercharging the car, then split up with the fiance and she never found out id blew the money. so just as well it went tits up . the less they know about costs the better. im a free man now so i can do what i please ive got a slightly better video of a rolling start in 1st but cant put it on the forum . pm me youre email address and il send it over
  4. Cheers, I've kept my Evo standard apart from a walbro fuel pump, brakes and a cheeky remap, but the clutch started to slip a month after buying it so replaced it and the flywheel for a lightweight one which cost close to £1500 lol. Don't think I'm going to miss the fact that if anything breaks it costs a small fortune to fix it. Really looking forward to owning the z and this forum already seems a lot more friendly than the 'other' evo forum My clutch was starting to slip after a few too many launch control starts so that's why I got rid of it, spent far too much money on it. I was never on the MLR forum so don't really know. Costs about £30 a year aswell. I'd rather spend that on 5 minutes worth of petrol for the evo lol
  5. Welcome from another evo 8 to zed owner. I had an fq300 with 390 at the fly. I got the zed to keep standard and save money but ended up supercharging it and now it's upto around 450 at the fly so costing me just as much as the evo and I still get it serviced every 4500 miles like the evo . One thing I don't miss my EVO at all and I had it for 3 years
  6. Looks awesome sam. I'm gona need to try this
  7. Mitz is good and he will sort you out. An alternative to the ecu reset is buy a cheap obd2 reader from eBay. I got mine for £14 and it does the job or reading and deleting the codes perfect. Ran my decats for about 6 months with no issue before mapping
  8. I think we need to forget about the whole hill thing, I know what you mean but people are looking too much into that instead of trying to help you diagnose the problem. It could be that your cat has collapsed and is blocking/restricting the exhaust flow. When you get your exhaust are you getting decats or high flow cats? If it is the cat that's knackered you will need to replace them. It could also be a silencer collapsed in the exhaust. Does it sound any different lately?
  9. I don't even want to know what mine is doing, car says about 40 but in reality it's probably under 10
  10. just went out to have a look at mine and you cant see them when they are on. i think they go on the outside but cant remember 100%
  11. any pics? ive just fitted mine and cant think what you mean
  12. haha on that particular night in my private tunnel it was very wet and trying to film with one hand wasnt great and didnt have a spare hand to turn the traction back on . i will take someone with me next time and i will drive it proper . hensh knows my tunnel lol (that sounds extremely dirty )
  13. its an awesome private road, got roundabouts built for drifting and everything . its 409 at the hubs. shifts pretty well
  14. do they fit under the car without lifting it? if they do it wont really matter but id just reverse onto them as its easier
  15. just a little update, my brakes were feeling pretty rubbish when slowing down from high speeds so i ordered some EBC ultimax discs and EBC yellowstuff pads from cougar store. Great service and price and quick delivery. i fitted them myself and when i was doing them i noticed that the front drivers side wheel bearing was knackerd so i ordered and fitted a new hub as well. when doing the hub i took the brake caliper off and just left it hanging on the brake pipe (bad move). i tried to bend the brake pipe a little to get better access to the hub bolts and thats when the pipe snapped and the caliper fell and hit me on the foot . so i had to clamp the flexi brake pipe with vice grips and tie wrap them to the strut for a slow and dodgy drive to the garage where my mate made me up a new pipe and fitted it for £20, score. anyway heres a pic of the brakes after their bedding in also i dont know when/if the gearbox and diff oil have been changed so iv ordered some diff, gear and engine oil from clark motorsport aswell as a oil filter and tube of molyslip to see what everyones raving about. again great service from clark and rapid delivery. its great having such good traders on this forum. but before the service it is going in to get my new chargespeed rear fitted on monday . i will update with pics when i get it back
  16. im not entirely sure mark as its burst under the supercharger and will require alot to be moved to get to see exactly where its burst. i wasnt aware there was a large and small one. any idea of what one it will be?
