  1. It's definitely not traction control as it's never worked since I had the steering wheel hub off. It switches esp and tcs off straight away. 8 have a track night on Thursday so just hoping I get it fixed in time
  2. When I was driving to Dundee in heavy rain on saturday I dropped into third at one point and floored it but around 3.5-4krpm the engine just shut off for a few seconds just like I've had in previous turbo cars when fuel cut kicks in. It was doing it every time the revs get to about 4k. driving normally the car is fine and idles fine. On opening the bonnet the filter was a little wet from the rain so not sure if that has anything to do with it. I personally think it's got a boost leak somewhere but won't know til I get into it tonight. It seems like it's when it starts to produce boost is when it's shutting off. The reason I'm posting on here is to see if anyone has any ideas as to what it might be or if it's a common sensor fault or something. I've tried phoning mark at abbey but he's out of the office today. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  3. awesome, didnt know you were getting one. give me a shout if you want me to fit it for you. will work for food lol
  4. I've got a compression tester u can get a shot of to try if u want. I'd even give u a hand. I'm just outside alloa
  5. completely disagree with you andy, mine sounds best chapping on the rev limiter in second, sideways through a multi storey. cant beat it
  6. something doesnt seem right here. like ricky says, 125 to 300 is quite a difference. is that guide for a vq engine? it just seems weird that all cylinders are so low, what kind of mileage has it got on it? by rebuilding the engine would you want to forge it or standard parts? where are you located?
  7. The video I seen on YouTube said to put a little bit of oil in before you do it anyway.another one says you have to run it a little first.or possibly a faulty gauge? Where are you located?
  8. Your meant to take all plugs out to do the test. From what I've seen on YouTube anyway and read online
  9. That thing isn't half boosting up that straight. It's a weapon!
  10. like everyone on here they have their price. Some take doughnuts, some wine lol
  11. awesome. wonder if thats project zed?
  12. they are some awesome pics! place looks unreal. id love to go someday, wonder if doogyrev would mind me turning up on his doorstep
  13. Tbh im rarely in Falkirk. I haven't seen the yellow gt4 either but there's a few around alloa but none on here
  14. first time ive seen that stillen hr charger. pretty cool but about double a vortech. it does have its own intake manifold and stuff though
  15. mine has started doing it aswell on the mobile site but only started recently. i dont use crapatalk as thats a nightmare
  16. if its a revup it will just require a new bracket and speak to gt4zed as i think he has one spare, if not he knows where to get them
  17. if its a revup motor with a single intake i would say just charge the DE. if its an HR with twin intakes it will take alot of altering to get the kit to fit. the HR has stronger internals but the revup is just the same as the DE
  18. I would like to see how the exhaust manifolds are made to keep both sides equal length. Any idea?
  19. Correct. Just out of curiosity why do you need to restrict the oil if it's a bb turbo? If you over pressure and over volume ball bearing races in turbos it will inhibit spool up and keep the overall speed down due to the drag effect of the oil. Alright cool. That makes sense. I love learning new stuff like this. Cheers mate
  20. Yeah. The td06 is a decent size. What kind of power are you expecting? Where are you mounting it?
  21. Correct. Just out of curiosity why do you need to restrict the oil if it's a bb turbo?
  22. Why 15/50? I'd say stick to a decent brand like millers and stay 5/30 as it's more than adequate. I run 5/40 as im running nearly 450hp so it's a bit hotter but 15/50 will just rob power and potentially cause damage
  23. There's a guy on here doing a single turbo build and he's made a custom reservoir for oil and a scavenge pump. That way if the turbo blows it doesn't damage the engine. As to your question, I think the sandwich plate would work bu people with v2 superchargers drill and tap the sump
  24. Did you change the fluid when you done the clutch?
