  1. Got my car back today, so glad after a week and a bit of the Micra loan car although not sure I can knock 56 mpg! The figures are very good and the car feels a lot faster, that could be down to the new VERY noisy exhaust though. I'll put the Dyno pictures up tomorrow, just waiting for Mark to send them through but the figure you're all interested in is: 427hp / 348 lb/ft tq @ 6500 rpm at the hubs Bumper tuck coming up and maybe front camber arms / front suspension raising if I can be bothered to put up with the cold weather at the moment!
  2. As long as you don't lower it it should be fine, just beware the bottom of the car will poke out a bit further when going up things like car park ramps.
  3. Ah okay, well keep your eyes peeled for when I put the figures up!
  4. Hmmm, is the number in your sig at the hub or the fly?
  5. Yep, they do not fit.. A bit like the wheels really
  6. Today Mark focused his efforts on reducing the fuel pressure to alleviate the lean issue, he has reported back that he reduced the fuel pressure which has improved the situation but the problem still remains. There is also a slight power increase but I will wait until Mark has finished the mapping to put the figures up. Charles from CJ Motorsport is sure that the issue is fuel dampening, I'm currently working with him to see what we can do to sort the situation. I have to say Charles has been incredibly helpful for someone who has little incentive to be. That's probably all the updates we are going to have for now on this fueling issue as by the look of it we're at the end of the road as to what can be achieved without more parts, more parts = more money which I don't have right now
  7. Well that was a boring conclusion.
  8. No idea, just felt like dragging you in to when you PM'd him grovelling for forgiveness.
  9. So do you deal in MPH when you want to seem hardcore and KMH when you're trying to dig yourself out of a hole?
  10. Classic. Do you also own the country road you do 64 knots down?
  11. StevoD claiming ignorance, he knew exactly what he was doing.
  12. I hope you got Birthday cake in prison maxi-glasgow!
  13. Hope you don't do 120 down country lanes with your fiancé in the car!
  14. I may not comment but I'm reading the thread with interest.
  15. Without rolling the rear arches on a lowered car they will rub no matter what (sensible) tyre you put on them I'd imagine.
  16. Also, you'll want 40 profile.
  17. Just keep them as spares and get them refurbed just in case you funk something up.
  18. Just had a reply from Charles. It does sound very possible to be a fuel pulsation problem but one thing that generally comes along with it is issues at multiple RPMs. I do not recall personally seeing it happen at only 1 location in the powerband. Pulsation issues also typically occur in such a short RPM window that when you are at 30%+ or higher throttle they go almost unnoticed as the engine passes quickly enough through the trouble zone. I am not saying that it is not a fuel pressure resonance problem you are experiencing, just mentioning what I typically see based on the details provided so far. I believe the occurrence of the pulsation side effects will occur in multiples of an RPM. So if you have the issue at 1700, I would expect to see it again around 3400 but the factor might not be exactly double. I believe what is happening when the lean spot occurs is that the timing of the injector opening is aligned with the low side of peak pressure frequency amplitude. Think of your fuel pressure as a jerky wave rather than a flat line, and at select engine speeds the injectors are firing synced up with a low spot on the wave. My method of description or terminology could be off as I am not trained on this issue... only played with it and thought about it to myself. This was a more frequent issue back when FPD’s were removed. It is not a CJM related issue so much as every manufacturer of VQ fuel systems removes the FPDs. We are actually the only ones who no longer practice removing the FPDs since the VQ’s have shown to be very picky about it. There was one member of the 350z forum using the Stage 0 system and updated to retaining the FPD on the back of the drivers rail, effectively making the dampening setup the same as stock, and he still had problems. He ended up having to put another damper on the rear of the opposite side rail to cure his issues well enough to no longer suffer drivability problems. I suspect that some fuel injectors contribute to pressure resonance more than others depending on their characteristics of opening and closing. It would make sense to me that if an injector shuts more abruptly it would put back a stronger pulse. Regardless of injectors, I tend to feel like having a return line in the system makes the system more likely to act up with pulsation. Perhaps how much dampening is needed is partly determined by overall volume of the fuel system plumbing. One interesting thing to take note of is that I noticed the GT-R VR38 has a damper in the return about 6†after the pressure regulator, and of course the one damper on each rail. We have a standalone pulsation damper product almost available, its out being anodized right now. Marren makes some aftermarket ones. Or you can get another stock 350z damper like the one you already have, and another S0 fitting to allow a –6 feed into the opposing rail. I could put together a feed line kit to go from the hardpipe to another S0 fitting? Thanks, Charles Sounds interesting and when I've had a good nights sleep I will mull it over.
  19. Message sent, let's see what he comes back with over the weekend.
  20. Good shout, as you know him do you have his email address to save me digging for one? Or is it just a generic CJM one? Edit: I have this one sales@cj-motorsports.com
  21. Really poor picture as I only have my old crap phone to hand.
  22. I took it back to Jez and he spent about 3/4 hours trying to fix this in the map, he had to give up in the end. Abbey had no luck either and the exact same problem was occurring on a rough base map that they created.
