  1. And to be fair at £299 I might go and look at this Nexus 5.. I am getting a little sick of everyone going 'Ohhh look your screen is smashed'. Thing is, I want a phone that's quite small.. Anyone got the HTC One Mini? Supposed to be okay.
  2. After reading it back I just don't think it was very funny. Not one of my best moments, back to the drawing board.
  3. Why are you guys always recommending the most expensive phone? How do you know he even needs a Nexus 5? I mean, for all you know a run of the mill HTC Wildfire S could do him fine. Sick of the bandwagons in this place, hive mentality. If you think that having a Nexus 5 is going to help you make calls and not hang up half way through, think again. Serious note, I'm still using my HTC Desire and it's got a cracked screen... All I do is make calls and send texts, don't need a mini tablet in my pocket for that.
  4. It's the typical way to backpeddle out of an embarrassing situation I believe, LOL YOU FELL FOR THE JOKE LOL. JOKE.
  5. Haha can you imagine the line up... 100k porsche, 70k jag, 200k lambo, 7k nissan, 150k ferrari.. Good job on getting in and I really hope you turn up.
  6. The fact he got up and walked away from that is probably a testament to modern safety gear. I know he didn't hit the car but being thrown down a slope at that speed and not ending up half dead, I'm impressed.
  7. I would call that quite an aggressive post, if you spoke like that to me in the real world we wouldn't be having a conversation for long. And no before you get all testosteroney on me, I would just walk away not try to fight you. To the point, if you look above I infact don't have MPSS and never have. I'm quite happy with my Bridgestones and have no idea what I'll get next but I won't be bum rushing to MPSS. Again, no where have I seen anyone say get MPSS anything else will land you in a bush, people are just happy with their purchase and are passing on a recommendation. Why have a bitch fit about it?
  8. I had exactly that experience once when I was out on my motorbike. Riding along minding my own business doing about 30mph around town. Old woman trying to pull out from a car park, starts to pull out, sees me approaching so she stops. We have eye contact and whilst shes looking me directly in the eye pulls straight out in front of me. I have nowhere to go so hit the rear drivers side of her car, do a superman impression over the back of her car. She stops and says to me "Sorry, I didnt see you!". To make matters worse, by the time the insurance companies got around to sorting the claim out (8 months later) she had then changed her tune to say that I was speeding and the witnesses couldnt remember what day of the week it was, let alone whose fault it was. In the end it was settled as a 50/50 liability so I lost a load of my NCB. Surely they'd have to prove you were speeding? I'm sure I've seen a few cases where people have pulled out infront of cars and tried to claim they were speeding. This ended up in them being liable as they hadn't judged the gap correctly (regardless of speed).
  9. I concur, the Bridgestone S001 is a pretty good tyre as well. That's currently what I'm running, although as they're wearing they're losing grip at a significant rate. I've never had MPSS just wanted to poke the bear on the nose.
  10. Seeing as you're picking odd situations to make your point allow me to do the same: Going down a country lane at night, no one behind you.. deer runs out in front of you. The combination of better brakes and MPSS allows you to stop in time, on the flip side a set of ditchfinders and OEM brakes cause you to hit the deer. In this case you could have saved both the deer and your car, why wouldn't you do that Stevo? WHY? I'm not sure why you're being aggressive about it though, has Michelin in some way wronged you or a loved one?
  11. PS, I don't think anyone in this thread is contemplating driving their car on the ragged edge on a public road which is what you seem to be thinking.
  12. this guy, reads me to having a better tyre allow him to drive better because he wont crash Not sure how you came to that conclusion, the point is a better tyre is a safety net to some degree. Who said anything about it makes me drive better? Stop reading things that aren't there, that would be a good start to this debate. Basically I was trying to say if I make a mistake on the road, having a decent tyre on could be the difference between an accident and not. I know there are a ton of variables and a tyre will not save you in most instances but if you can help reduce a risk... Why wouldn't you?
  13. But to that degree having decent tyres actually saves you. I would hasten a guess that a pro driver could drive better on ditchfinders than I could on MPSS. If you have a cheaper tyre on, driving enthusiastically might cause you to easily lose control of the vehicle whereas a more expensive performance tyre will help to keep you in check.
  14. Is that a statement or a question? Sounds like a statement but has many ???? I've had a look and the only Super7 I can find is in Henfield? That's not exactly Worthing. Seems like there is a few Zeds in Worthing, I never see any well apart from a GP who doesn't acknowledge other Zeds.
  15. I think probably not for those moments Stevo but when he has the opportunity to have a blast down a country lane I'm pretty sure he'll be glad he had something that doesn't make his car's handling resemble a shopping trolley. You can go as far to say if you all you do is hang around in London/motorway/car park traffic, why have you got such an impracticle car? You've got it because of those moments when you get to use it for what it was designed for, in that situation you'll be happy your money is in your tyres rather than your pocket.
  16. Really nice looking car, love the rear on these and the paint is awesome. Only thing I'm not really sold on is the front, looks a little mainstream Japanese modern saloon.
  17. That's what I was beginning to think Stevo, was starting to feel like a poor chump.
  18. £800 would buy you a cat back system from an aftermarket supplier, or I'm sure you can get a good condition used box on here for a lot less.
  19. Where abouts are super7? I might have to pay them a visit for a few things if they are any good.
  20. I don't get the drone at 70mph, you can hear the exhaust slightly if you try but with a little music or the window down you can hardly notice it. Only time I get a drone is any speed up an incline if you're holding it steady.
