Hi bud I had the roof done at body and tuning in Mansfield ,had a loads of work done on the car spent over 3k now , had full exhaust inc two new cats yesterday too , still not 100% happy with it tho

alignment and links done today and i have to say...massive difference (and no more knocking) will have a better exhaust on in the next week or so

I have for sale two lower ball joints,bought as a mechanic told me i needed them but it turned out i needed anti roll bar links... want £20 each delivered,cheers

sounds like a plan on the handling ,lets hope a decent exhaust can make the car sound a bit more interesting too,if not i know RB engines slip in easily enough and im quite fond of RB's (also know them inside out) cheers for all the advise so far guys

perhaps,although i was looking at 888,s,the new R1R's or the AD08 yoko,s,just need to be absolutely certain i want the car before spending another shedload of money on it

40,s on the front and 50,s on the rear,everything has been pulled and tugged and only found the anti roll bar links suspect although there is some knocking on the front end over bumpy roads...also had a small airfield event and found above 120 the front goes light and i get big vibrations...maybe related to the links...hope so

Go and get a decent alignment done: Get them to add plenty of camber to the front, a little less to the back and get the fronts pointing straight ahead (or if you're feeling brave, some toe out). Put some quality rubber on there (Michelins are my preference, but the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta also gives amazing feedback) and then tell me it's not a car that you want to chuck around. its currently having the alignment and anti roll bar links done...it has bridgestones on at the mo but im not too keen to be honest...and the vredestiens almost put me in the armco at 150 once in my skyline (the black one in the pic (450 bhp)),great grip but very weak sidewalls so gives scary wobble at high speed cornering

yeh had a look on the tube to see if i could get any ideas...seems the standard exhaust is not really all that good..seems to dull the experience to be honest

keep wondering what an RB26 would be like in a zed ( i know its been done before too)

this is the car..as you can see its not a bad looker

guys...i really love the looks of my zed,but................i have only owned it for 5 weeks and find it very "wooden" and not much feedback,also feels like it weighs 5 tonne and the sound from the standard exhaust is horrible (sounds like a hoover to me),now i want to know if it can be made better,want it to sing like a V6 should do,want it to feel like i expected it to,im used to skylines etc ,have owned seven now and a lot of other fast cars and i expected the zed to be similar to a GTST skyline but its nothing like.....if i changed the exhaust would it sing a little better (as it is now its a dull boring drone that just gets louder as you increase speed),and the handling,,,its very ...uninspiring as it is ,my meriva (although its a VXR meriva) gives me more confidence and the urge to drive that bit harder ,what do you guys do to the chassis,coilovers,bush kit etc? it may sound like im being harsh but i have spent almost £3k on the zed in 5 weeks so i dont want to be hasty and just get rid without finding out if i can make it that bit more of a car i will fall in love with with just the odd couple of parts...

well....given it over a month (and almost £3k) and im just not in love with it...itll be up for sale in the next week or two after i get the anti roll bar links done

my wipers are rusty so want a pair either new or in top condition please

lol cheers,,they are pretty quick for a mini mpv too,i have owned two and ran my last one at york raceway,got 15 flat,another guy i know ran at santa pod pulling a 14.6 which is very good,some hot hatches would be happy with that lol (i even remember watching two new focus RS's battling it out and neither running quicker than 15's)

Hi all,well this is what i use while sorting the zed and making it perfect its currently 202bhp but by the middle of the year itll be around 240 bhp where itll stay as 240 bhp is pretty decent for a meriva lol exact same engine and gearbox as the corsa vxr awesome little machine,only 252 made

yeh sorted the clutch pedal and other things...also on Rays now
