Regarding the fitting kit, are these available from Motordyne individually? I need some spacers for my strut brace and wondered if I'd just be able to get these from MD?

Hi All, I need to buy a new sat nav as mine has gone female and no longer talks to me anymore Yes, I know there are many apps etc that mean I can use my smartphone/iPhone but I'd still like a separate sat nav. Something that's sole purpose is to not get me lost. Used Garmin units before and been happy with their usability; I've never used a TomTom. I'd say budget is upto £80, which seems to get a decent unit nowadays. Has anyone got any recommendations or seen any good deals/offers on a sat nav they'd care to share? Cheers, Ian

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments and input. I have appealed via email (PE provide a handy link to submit an appeal online) and as the stay was genuinely connected to a pre-existing medical condition, I'm hoping they see sense. We shall see. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again, Ian

Hi All, I've received a £100 parking 'charge' for exceeding a 2 hour stay limit at the Welcome Break Michael Wood Services on the M5 - I wasn't even aware there was a length of stay limit. As you can imagine, I'm not exactly overjoyed Apparently there are signs informing motorists of this fact and I'm sure there are, but it was dark, pee'ing with rain and I never even considered a maximum stay. All the 'Tiredness Can Kill - Take a Break' signs and advertising campaigns do not tell you to take a break, as long as it's less than 120 minutes, otherwise it'll cost you £££ It's been issued by 'Parking Eye', who I gather are a well known (for similar reasons) car park management company for car parks on private land such as this. I know there is a lot of hearsay regarding what you should/should not, could/could not do regarding such 'charges', but does anyone have any 'real' experience with a charge such as this or can offer meaningful advice? Thanks in advance guys.

Hello and I had a Mk1 225 TT before my Zed. Had loads and loads of little niggles and issues and it's how I first found car forums (I was constantly Googling 'How To' guides) and 99% of searches would point me in the direction of the UK owners forum, which I'm sure you're familiar with given the list of things you've had to change on yours You'll find this place a similarly valuable resource for information and advice. You will still find yourself looking for 'How To' guides if you do buy a Zed, but it will not be 'How to fix....' guides, more so 'How to remove X and replace with Y as I've bought yet another mod/upgrade due to Zeditis' guides.

If anyone out there has a Kinetix V+ Plenum (the black one) would you be able to measure the thickness of the spacers that are used with the OEM strut brace for me please? Thank you kindly

The heat shield that comes with the JWT pop charger (posh term for a cone filter) is a really simple design. If you have access to some aluminium or thin steel and are able to cut/bend/form it, it'll be dead easy to make. I'll trace round the profile of mine and include it with your divider if you like mate?

OMG. I just wrote that on my phone. Message turned out longer than expected! My thumb hurts.

I wanted to wrap the bonnet of my Clio 182 daily. I'd previously wrapped quite a few interior parts and some other odds n' ends, so felt I had the basics covered. I had a 'spare' bonnet that I was going to wrap, so this was off the car. I'd previously watched the roof on my Z being wrapped and watched numerous YouTube videos on how to wrap a bonnet and other major body panels. So armed with a 'it can't be that hard, as the bonnet is pretty flat' attitude I ordered a big enough sheet of wrap off eBay and had a bash at doing it myself. After many MANY hours of trying to get it right, lots and I mean LOTS of swearing I eventually gave up. Threw in the towel and promised myself never to try again. Until about 20 mins later when I'd ordered another sheet of wrap and having learnt many 'what to do and what not to do' lessons. New sheet of wrap arrived. Watched a few more vids as a refresh and set to work. All the parts that I couldn't get right on my first attempt I totally nailed. It looked perfect. But parts that looked perfect on my first attempt now looked sh1te on my second attempt. The problem areas had simply moved. More swearing, more hours wasted and my toys well and truly hurled out of my pram I gave up. I text the guy that had done my Z and asked if he'd wrap my bonnet ndctold him my story. After many 'LOL, LMAO and PMSL' at my expense he took pity on me and told me to drop the bonnet round. It took him (a seasoned wrapper) 90 minutes to wrap my bonnet. The same bonnet I'd spent many hours trying to wrap. I'm all for a bit of DIY (as anyone that knows me or my car will tell you), but sometimes you've just gotta let the professionals take over while you sit rocking to and fro in the corner.

I'm inclined to agree with Dan. I think if you really REALLY want a Trophy, then get one. But for a weekend toy and something that will serve you well on the occasional track day, I'd buy a well looked after 182 and throw some £££ at suspension and other goodies to make a great car a total weapon. You'll still have some pennies in your sky rocket to pay for a track day or two. I use my FF 182 for a daily and I bloomin' LOVE it! It's pretty much stock apart from a Ph1 172 airbox and a Scorpion exhaust, but it is SO MUCH FUN! A Trophy would be nice though...
