That is good Where you getting that done? Also going for the Falken 452's as have trawled through the forum and they are highly recommended by a lot of members and are a good price Local garage in town that I use for work on my vehicles bought them in for me and fitted them... Also had new discs and pads fitted today, so can't really get a feel for them all as I need to bed in the pads! But feels better having a good set of rubber under her already
-
Grey here in Bedfordshire, But she gets her new rubber today with some decent grip at last, so I don't care so much if it rains now
-
Got a full set of 452's going on mine tomorrow (chose them because of the number of recommendations from you guys, so thanks) All new and fully fitted for £480, so I think I got sa pretty good deal?

Followed this thread with great interest, and laughed out loud several times..... But that knob is just a step too far ! Its things like that, that can make knobs redundant !!!!

Peoples perceptions of motors is amazing.... Years ago I had a 4 year old 4.2 XJ6 and a 3month old Ford Granada Scorpio. If I took the jag to price jobs people said I must be charging too much, If I took the Granada they were fine..... The granada was worth about 4K more !!!!! -

Turn up to inspect my work, then we can discuss cars instead thats a done deal - it'll also keep my mind off what I should be looking at.......oh, did you not know, we know what you're up to when you do that Never had an issue with you guys, I do things correctly. I've found over the years that if I have a good idea, I suggest it in a way that leaves you thinking you've had it and that you're helping me out.... Never fails -
There are 4 types, in order of importance ; Drivers Mid-life crises Posers Chavs I'm not a chav. I'm not a poser. I'd like to think i can drive well? But everyone just looks at a 40+ guy and says ' mid-life crisis'! If I wanted a mid-life crisis I'd start dating 30 year old women of slightly ill repute !!! I wouldn't buy a very nice car !!!!

Good advice, No one is perfect, so learn from your mistakes.

Well I'll just give 1 discrete flash of the lights and a polite wave to any other Zed, if they can't be bothered to respond then I'm not about to chase after them and complain Would be nice to catch up with other members at some point, just to get some tips or to look at what they've done to their cars

On the snob note... I did think it unlikely that the 2 roadsters in my original statement were members on here. You lot seem a mightly fine bunch, and certainly don't think that anyone has come across as snobby or superior or looked down on us new guys.. Just figured that Roadster owners might in general think they are better than coupe owners? Pro's and con's in both types I guess ????
-
Now I know you guys on here are a really friendly bunch, so please don't take offence anybody.. Driving through my home town yesterday, on a small town road, I approached a woman driving a 54 plate roadster, grey or silver in colour. Today on another road in town I approached a guy driving a 60 plate roadster in blue. (Only a small market town, so was surprised to see any other Zed's to be honest). On both occasions I flashed my lights once and waved... and on both occasions I was totally blanked ! Are coupe drivers deemed the poor relative to roadster drivers? Or have I got one of the new invisible coupes? Paul.

Forget the fancy job titles etc..... it's the age thing worrying me ! At 49 (just) I'm feeling like an old man on here Oh and I can give myself any fancy name I like, but basically I'm still a chippy !!!! Owning a company just gives me tax and insurance advantages

GRRRRRRRR Actually most BCO's are ok, But then I'm a good builder, so I get no grief !

Looks awesome Really like that blue. How hard is using the clay stuff you all talk about? mines in the garage this week for new belts, discs, pads and tyres, so i'm guessing quite a few mucky prints on it by the weekend !!!

I've found that if you say, 'ITS A SPORTS COUPE', they say, 'AHH MIDLIFE CRISIS' ! -
Own and run a small building company. But classify myself as a company director to keep insurances down (legal loophole)

Cheers for that RXS I love the way everyone is so helpful on here

Remember, the Americans drive on the opposit side of the road so beam correction required. Good point.. If I could remember my Ebay password I could ask the question, lol

The wiring may be ok, might be an idea to remove one of yours and compare the wiring to the photos if thats possible. Also these ones but I'm not 100% sure on fitment for these, the connectors may be different to the UK ones, but I'm sure ZMANALEX would be able to answer this question for you. They would look on a Black Zed http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/03-05-Nissan- ... 58932084eb Cheers Steve. Really like the look of these lights, but its a job to know what they would look like in the car (dont know what others think). Maybe someone will know if these are fully compatible, they are for the american market I guess? Wish they were automatic like my Navara..... Keep forgetting to turn the damned things on !!!
-
Cheers, I'll keep an eye on them, although wouldn't know where to start checking out the wiring !
-
Cheers Steve.. Only a temporary fix, doubt it would do any favours in the long term? Who should I talk to regarding light unit replacement? Mine is a pre facelift, are the facelift headlights different? If so is it a worthwhile upgrade?

Gave her a quick clean today, first time since purchasing, and so you get to see all the faults that you dont spot under the dust from the journmey home. I used 'Meguiars Gold Class' for this basic wash, having first hosed her down as the forum suggests. Also used a wash mit not a sponge (so proves I read the forum) Noticed before washing that the headlamp units have a few bad scratches and cracks, so these are going to need replacement at some point (cost and recommendations gratefully received). Also noticed the Glass/perspex was very dull and cloudy so did a quick temporary fix to shine them up, knowing I couldn't do any major damage as I would be replacing them anyway!!! So I used Brasso padding.......... and seems to have worked a treat At least I can see the bulbs now! Hopefully pics attached (after pics only unfortunately), if you look carefully you might see the scratches and cracks? First pic shows a crack in the nearside light, second pic show scratches and fracturing in the offside light, third pic shows the clear shiny finish of the brasso and the Meguiars !! (I guess this stuff is ok for a quick wash? ) Paul.
