  1. If its your first year driving what they class as a performance car be in for a shock, mine was ridiculously high even at 33 with a decent no claims. Adrian Flux came in at the best deal for me at £1,400. Shop around though it depends on alot of things postcode, age, ncd etc. On a lighter note now approaching the 1 year anniversary of zed ownership my renewal quote was nearly half of the first year :-D oh and I'm also the very proud owner of the fairlady only mine is a manual, enjoy the new car and

    "NO" Rated

Found some part worns to stick on Zeds front end off ebay, bargain pirelli zeros with loads of tread for 140 quid, thing is they are NO rated (porsche). Are these ok for the Z?
  4. I'll be taking mine down to them in a few months to get my wheels done and some bodywork, I'll stich up a new post with the results when it happens mate. We need a good bodyshop up here!!!

    Accelera PHI

only have to get fronts done asap as theres is a tear in one of the inside walls, rears are worn on insides and ive been advised to get em done- although they are still legal. The other front is good though so might just replace the torn one and get backs done next month, I just really dont wanna mix tyres. Bit of a predicament cos I only have a couple of hundred left from my monthly budget...

    Accelera PHI

Funny enough that was gonna be my next question! Yes I have considered them, quite a few pairs at good prices on ebay right now, I'm just unsure on which ones/brands to look at- theres a pair of falkens that will fit the rears for 90 quid!

    Accelera PHI

That is exactly why I'm asking on here and not just going off the reviews ive read elsewhere, unless people on here were actually going to consistently say these were ok I'm not prepared to take the risk, I enjoy driving my zed and being constantly paranoid because of some cheap tyres would just take all fun away. thanks for all your advice guys, think I'll be going with some falkens or simiar :-)

    Accelera PHI

running 275 30 20 on rear and 245 35 20 on front, they all need replacing and after some other work I have to get done my budget isnt exactly great, hence the post after finding such cheap tyres!!! end of the day I only do 5k max a year and only on the roads and always drive to the conditions

Yeah the few bad reviews there are, are really bad..... So I'm guessing the general opinion is dont go less in price/quality than falkens then?

Anyone had any experience with these? They seem to have some mixed reviews from what I have read but at 80 quid a tyre??????
  12. Like the look of that :-D
  13. Thanks for clearing that up :-) any reccomendations on makes/price just for future reference?
  14. Do you have trouble passing emissions/mot with HFC's? Are they not the same as de-cats?
  15. This thread was about BUMP start not jump start
  16. Took the Zed to get my nice new brakes fitted this aft (after some trouble starting her up) after a while off the road, unearthed a few probs. The rear calipers have siezed and need replacing, there is a tear in the exaust pipe (rotted to hell) 3 of the tyres want replacing (20" all worn on insides) and all the wheel nuts are different sizes lol!!! I have sent Keyser a pm regarding some parts already but I wanted to post to see if anyone can offer anything up to help me out- new brakes have left me pretty skint so dont wanna spend loads on new parts. Cheers guys
  17. Great info thanks :-D think I'll wait for a friend rather than risk damaging anything!!!!
  18. thats what i was worried about. all my previous cars have been no way near like the zed so wanted to ask before causing any damage. its a pain cos i was hoping to get some new brakes on today and cant move the dam thing, grrrrrr
  19. As the topic suggests, the Zed has been sat a while and now no juice in the battery. Is if safe to bump start ( its currently parked on a hill so will be fairly easy) or should I wait for a helpful friend to come to the rescue?

Brilliant thanks, plus it all shows torque settings- bonus!

    non-brembo guide?

I have been searching for a guide for fitting new disks and pads (non-brembo) to my Z and I'm struggling to find one. Would someone be kind enough to direct me to one, sounds like a simple job but I'd rather see a guide first before comitting to the job! Also could do with knowing what tools/products I will need before the undertaking of said brake changing, Thanks in advance :-D
  24. My jaw has literally just hit the deck, that is unbelievable....... how I wish I lived closer to you guys!!!!!!
