  1. It'll be a faulty fuel sender.
  2. Cusco make bolt in cages.
  3. You can adjust the pedal height, which would make for a lower biting point, but the biting point won't actually change compared to the pedal throw, if you know what I mean?
  4. The Zeds biting point is naturally (annoyingly) high, so don't fret. Try bleeding it and it may get a little better.
  5. No. I forgot to check the other day, just measured there now. pre facelift M16 2.0 facelift M22 2.5.
  6. well it is really mint condition . he said he will do a deal with it so if i get it for a few hundred less i will be happy . il forgo the leather and stuff for the sheer condition of it . im just after as much help as i can get really but it looks good to me thanks I never even noticed it wasn't a GT from the outside. You'll also not have cruise control or the Bose 7 speaker system if that bothers you?
  7. It's pretty much standard except the Scorpion exhaust and UpRev, not a bad price if the condition is as good as you say. But, christ it annoys me when sellers list everything they've done to the car along with the price.
  8. Thanks K, that means I have to split the 350z lot in 2 Do you know the pitch sizes as well? Not off the top of my head, I would hazard a guess at 2mm. I'll measure my 22mm one tomorrow if I remember.
  9. Guaranteed value? So they've been out and valued the car and agreed the value of it? Otherwise it makes no difference if you value it at £10k or £100k, they'll still only pay out market value
  10. Facelift on are 22mm, Prefacelift are 16mm
  11. You and I both know thats rubbish All brokers or insurance companies will give you a higher quote than what they can in the hope you don't challenge it. I have never heard of a renewal quote being the best they can do, every single time they will beat it.
  12. Get onto Greenlight. They're usually very competitive and will happily beat any AF quote.

    Destroying my zed

Looks like a Siebon 07+ bonnet, like this one. http://bmmperformance.co.uk/product/nissan-350z-07-08-seibon-oem-carbon-hood/
  14. Maybe you have heavy foot syndrome after not driving her for so long?
  15. Did you buy them locally, Colin, or online?
  16. Surely any exhaust will be many times louder than the induction kit, so changing this wouldn't make a difference?
  17. A tenner per tyre is satisfactory IMO, but when it comes to performance tyres, most shops can't get near online prices. They stock cheap tyres to fire onto Tom, Dick and Harrys motor with a good markup, no interest in fitting 19" MPSS to sports cars with the risk of damaging expensive alloys etc.
  18. Yes and the fact they dont have the overheads than the local places have, less staff, no workshop, no equipment to buy etc etc etc , however you still need them in the chain , the only people getting rich from selling tyres is the online places , people like Mike Welch Of course they have overheads, huge warehouse, many more staff, delivery equipment and don't forget postage and packaging. Maybe it is because they buy in bulk, but that's not my problem. Why should I pay £250 to a local tyre fitter for a MPSS when I can get it online for £200 delivered and fire them a fiver to put it on?
  19. When locals stop ripping the bag out of prices, more people will use them.
  20. This part is wrong, bi-xenons are factory facelift headlights, if he had those, he wouldn't have to upgrade Also, cars with prefacelift lights which are xenons, have an 8 pin connector, so that means ALL UK cars have 8 pin connectors. The only cars that may have 6 pin connectors are those from the USDM and JDM, I expect all EUDM cars to have xenons too, but I can't confirm that. So yes, facelift headlights are completely plug and play in all UK cars Thanks very much for the clarification. So all UK cars had the 8 pin! So as far as right hookers are concerned, only JDM halogen hi-beam will be 6 pin, right? We have euro cars here which are halogen hi (and 6 pin), so it must be a uk thing. The high beam isn't relevant, the main beam is. JDM can come with or with xenons and the headlamps look the same, the high beam in prefacelifts is always halogen and the main beam can be too. If EUDM cars are the same, then the 6 pin models will have halogens as main beam, not xenons as the extra 2 pins is for the self levelling control that xenon lights require.
  21. Morgan never seen or misjudged the speed of the pug IMO, however, the pug probably needs their brakes checked, because they didn't seem to scrub much speed off in the few seconds that he SHOULD have seen the Morgan pull out. I say should because he may not have been paying attention to the road either, or possible speeding. IMO its all the Morgans fault, he was joining a carriageway and should not have done so until it was safe to do so. Even if the pug was speeding, that didn't cause the accident, the Morgan driving without due care and attention did.
  22. You can try a Nissan dealer for a new locknut key, or there are generic versions available online, but I've no idea if they are any good. As for the rocker cover, you can buy a new gasket kit from Torqen to repair both covers for the price of one. https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/engine/gaskets/1657-350z-vq35-diy-rocker-cover-repair-kit-trq350zderock.html

  24. I take back the "too stretched" part, they won't be too stretched, I was talking rubbish. But I stick by my 245 front 265 rear suggestion, aesthetically and performance wise they'll be better.
