  1. cleaned it up and all fitted today, took her out for quick spin sounds gooood thanks once again :D

polished, k&n cleaner kit utilised and few metal parts sprayed black (just because im fussy like that!)

    :drive1

  2. I don't know how many of you are avid golfers but with the Ryder Cup coming up this week can't help thinking will it be Europe or USA?!

The teams both look strong, would be nice for Europe to retain the trophy but on foreign soils could be a tough one?!

  3. Whether it's £270 or £500, it's still peanuts in the scheme of annual car ownership costs.

Is a lot just for tax though compared to other motors.

Maybe that's just because I'm surrounded by friends, family, work mates etc that all have sub £30 tax cars (none of which are as cool as the zed though ;) )

  4. VED doesn't go towards the upkeep of the roads.

And yes, if people keep buying low VED cars then another tax will need to rise to balance the books. Like fuel.

I thought a certain amount of VED goes toward upkeep of roads, infrastructure, goverment projects etc amongst other things although it is hard to distiguish what or how much exactly as it is put into a big 'pot' along with other taxes and dished out from there??? Fuel is getting ridiculous though

  5. That time of year again and car tax is due this week, yet again gone up from last year so now paying something like £270 for 12 months (dread to think what you guys with the facelift models are paying at the full shebang?!).

What gets me is that my girlfriends insurance for the year is less then my tax (admittedly she has a new-wish fiat 500 that is like £20 a year to tax). That got me thinking that as we sway toward being more and more eco friendly in years to come and cars become more economical so that they are all cheap road tax types.....then how is that going to afford the up keep of our roads and infrastructure?!??!?! Something will have to happen I'm sure

  6. if we weren;t short on fuel now we will be in the near future

Yep, we are using it up at an ever increasing rate. Saw a documentary about a new oil field that's been discovered in Ecuador, worth billions but right in the heart of a huge nature reserve...it'll take 20 years to get all of the oil out but the most shocking thing was that it will provide just 3 days of oil for the world!!

    Pete

    :scare:

    that is mental

  7. Hi mate nice z, before you start to mod in earnest check to see how much your insurance will jump to as a lot of companys wont touch a modded car !! and the ones that will are going to be expensive given your age.

This is true, forgot about this lol thanks for the reminder maybe i should get some quotes before i invest in some performance parts.

yes, especially if you intend to supercharge it!!! :p
