OK OK I'll come clean I may have mislead you all slightly
However what Papa pointed out is spot on Bob raped this one before it was off the trailer!!
In fact he has a list of things he wants to pillage from it - (swap would be the polite way of putting it)
However in his normal "I Want it now" way he couldn't wait to swap the rear bumper as apparently he likes the JDM shape more - I just happened to take some well timed pics as he did the swap.
He also didn't have a number plate the correct size so we had to improvise for his drive home!
(a new number plate is on ordered)
So Here is some pics of Bob's new arse
From the photos does this mean the old lights are now back on?? Or was the bumpet done before the Lexus lights ?

great pics
....ref suspension, you could always change the springs for some lower ones..and the wheels are deffo a keep imo.
+1
some of the best looking wheels for the zed, just drop her a bit more and spacers to fill them arches nicely!

Was debating doing this today as well as I have a sidelight out, left it till about 45 mins of daylight remaining and thought screw it until weekend when hopefully not so much snow about, ended up spraying my rear indicator bulbs silver instead to get rid of the fried egg look as had a can of spray laying about plus im too tight to buy another set of silvatecs!!

I can only comment on the milltek option which I also currently have , similar loudness to oem although nice grunt at higher revs and certainly a nice rich v6 note without sounding chavvy or anything like that

If you use the canned stuff does it not make it impossible for any punctures to be repaired? That would put me right off....
The latex sealant can be cleaned and rinsed out prior to any permanent repair apparently
-
Very true indeed it wouldn't be till summer just putting a feeler out there tbh to see how many people do it and take the spare out. My commute is only ten miles and had a few wobbles tonight :O
-
Yeah I'm aware they never seem to put spares on new cars these days. Cost saving measure plus a large percentage of drivers don't know how to change a wheel I assume
With regards to the zed becoming more tail happy is this really noticeable then? There must be a fair weight under that boot lining.
-
Any pics of the S/C motor?
-
Haha same here, made two call outs in the past neither tyre/wheel related however I would assume they would try put the spare on for you and flaff around for some time locating the locking wheel tool, mounting points etc not to mention the time they take in reaching you (both times I called out was in winter freezing my bollocks off waiting!)
Im liking the idea of simply pumping and going as an interim remedy ??
-
Watch out for Busters lowering tips he is slammed - does this to your bumper
OUCH
-
Does anyone roll around with simply a can of fix a flat or similar product in the car as opposed to spare wheel, jack etc?
I know a few people remove the spare and associated tools from the boot as a weight saving excercise. Just wondering how practical (or impractical) this is?!
I think i would rather save the weight (and thus fuel economy) and utilise the can then change the wheel once home to ensure lit conditions, flat surface, safe away from potential busy roads etc etc or get her to the garage without flaffing around too much myself!

how about hydraulics ???

gave this a go at weekend with t cut, headlights came up a treat, done the rear too for all its worth few scuffs and scratches now gone! Best result was door handles which were very scratched, removed 99% of them just with the once over, very pleased
