  1. I'd also like to mention that I have 100% sympathy for Matt and hope that he gets things sorted out. All I and a few others were pointing out, is that even the most basic research, however much the onus is on the salesman to be accurate, would have avoided this whole situation.
  2. I'm sorry, but I disagree... Yes, the seller / dealer should be accurate... But it's your £8000! I for one am not rich enough to blow that much cash without making 100% sure I know exactly what I'm buying. At some point you, as the buyer, need to take responsibility or you find yourself in this sort of situation.
  3. More payments received and first post updated.
  4. Sorry matey, 100% not a rev-up. Amongst other things, the heater controls would have aluminum surrounds...
  5. It's defo not a rev-up, you can tell by the pictures of the cam covers and by the non face lift bumper.
  6. You can have my 06 DE Paddy same spec but with full history and lots of extras for £7,250. Private sale would obviously be less than from a dealer. I'm not saying he couldn't have got a similar car cheaper elsewhere, just stating what Parkers state as a guide price from an indy dealer.
  7. It's also no got Rays which were standard on the rev-up GT.
  8. Parkers value is about £7900 from an indy dealer, so not too far out.
  9. I'd say you are partly responsible to also do research? If you'd done a quick search / hpi check, this would have been highlighted. Dealers are always going to try to pull a fast one, so buyers have to be extra vigilant.
  10. Same tax as a rev-up as it was registered after 01/04/06
  11. If you're bothered, phone the dealer and have a chat. You have grounds for returning it as it wasn't as advertised... Although stats might not count?
  12. Payments received and first post updated.
  13. What GIX said, make you car go from this: To this:
  14. It does look nice as is, but got to love a black plenum and carbon battery covers!
  15. It depends... If you're lucky, they may have put a low value on the customs document... if not expect to pay another 30% with Duty, VAT and Handling!
  16. I guess you have to be careful and select items which have very little chance of breaking.. like badges or big metal suspension parts... although that's no guarantee! Any saving would be wiped out straight away if you had to return the item!
  17. Still not got 10, but I will buy the extra bolts and stockpile them as I want you guys to get these! Payment details sent to all those on the list. There's still time for anyone else who wants to. I will be closing the Group Buy once everyone has paid!
  18. Unfortunately, if it was that cheap / easy UK Traders would be out of business!
  19. he should be able to source.
  20. Basically, expect to pay 23% (VAT and Import Duty) + a handling fee from whichever courier delivers in the UK. It can be a hassle, but you can also save a decent amount sometimes.
