    Nice numbers, but what's next to make the most of the built engine and gearbox? I think we can all assume that whatever happened or is happening with Abbey is still not resolved, hence H-Dev... Anyway, looking forward to more build and hopefully seeing it in the metal!

    This whole thread literally makes me want to cry. It seems as though a decent guy has been totally screwed over with no possible recourse. The only option being, spend around 50% of what he paid for the car in order to get it fixed.

    I've not heard of a conversion. I'm not sure the Zed engine would take to it long term... Besides, if fuel cost is an issue, then you probably have the wrong car? You could get a cheap run-around for the price of a decent conversion.

    No way, I was watching a slow mo of the Red Bull during qualifying and was thinking that the wing was flexing quite a lot! I'm sure there was rumour they were doing this a few seasons ago! To be fair all the teams will be pushing the rules to the absolute limit. In the old days they were even worse, like rolling weights into the exhaust to make scrutineering.

    Yeah, they're both almost the same power (As claimed by the YouTube info), but the GTR must weigh a couple of hundred kgs more with the extra passenger.

    Any decent exhaust place should be able to do that. Where are you based as I'm sure someone can recommend a place near you?

    Duck tape as a temp fix to stop any water ? I don't know if that would damage the fabric though, but would give some breathing space whilst you found somewhere to repair it.

    PM Spatt. We had a meet a few months ago and one of the guys rocked up in a mini cooper. I'm sure he was one of Spatt's mates and he works at a Mini specialist. He might know where to source such things?

    Just an option available. The cobra setup would also be good.

    Are these de cats? Yes, which is why you need the xyz y pipe with the cat in it. Those are the ones I mentioned in my post. Great setup if you have the cash and those 2nd hand would make it about the same price as the cobra kit.

    Expensive, but you could go motordyne art pipes and xyz. The cat is in tne y pipe then and the art pipes will minimise rasp and hiss whilst still being able tompass an MOT. Probably around £200-300 more than the cobra setup, buy would sound awesome!
